2019 BRZ - rear clicking question:
Hi -
I hear a clicking noise at this point only when under power starting out in first gear and reverse gear (when there is significant torque being applied I guess). Here's the baselines: -100% stock, except it's on new Toyo Proxes Summer tires (similar to stock tires -6 speed manual -No AX or track events on BRZ -No clutch drops and minimal hard 1 to 2 while cornering -I do enjoy inducing mild oversteer on a frequent basis The click isn't bad or terribly annoying, just getting worse. Are there likely culprits for this issue? What can I potentially expect? THANKS Mike |

Try checking your axle nuts: retorque or replace them. Common issue on this platform.
Google "FRS BRZ Axle Click" to verify if it's the same noise. |

Oh any symptom to look out for for an actual axle failure?

I had the same problem OP. Turns out it was my axle nut and the scissor jack moving around in the trunk. Hope this helps anyone in the future.

Hey just recuscitating this old topic:
I never got my axle nuts looked at. The problem diminished with cold weather and I procrastinated. What kind of problems can loose axle nuts create? I worry I may be costing myself a bunch of money unnecessarily. |
