GD1 / GD2 Passenger Side Floor Harnesses In The Works

Alright, now onto the passenger side harness we go!

Before I commit and completely sheath my harnesses, I make certain all contact points are solid.

In doing so, I do a full continuity test to each individual wire. I know some people go with the greater odds and call it good, but fuck that, I'm not gonna spend all this time doing all this work then one wire fucks it up for me then I gotta rip the harness apart again.

I rather be safe than sorry lol.

Anyways, here is my mock harness for the passenger side along with my brand new construction of it in the making.

The hardest thing is trying to source the exact connectors. If all else fails, I'll just re-plug the connectors with something else.

I just love how much more compact my harnesses are turning out regardless 😍.

Brake Booster Delete

So my Wilwood, uh, I mean, Chase Bay's Dual Piston Brake Booster Delete came in today.

This is a project that I will undertake after my wire tuck, Mil-Spec engine harness, and complete re-do of my harness is completed.

During this phase, this is where I am going to focus on shaving my engine bay while creating direct air vents to cool the engine bay as well.

Reguardless, I am still a little skeptical on how great this set up will be in stopping my ride, but in the worst case scenario, I still have the brake booster and other components so it would be a simple switch back.

Custom Built Carbon Fiber Steering Wheel

Got my steering wheel stitched with silver stitching to match the rest of my interior...

Still got more custom carbon fiber parts being fabricated, purchased, and/or on their way.

I went through ZenCarbonFiber on this project.

For the most part, everything went smoothly, took a bit longer than suggested, but they kept open communications the entire time and did not dodge any of my emails and/or Dms.

Test Fitting Newly Wired Driver Side Harness

It's been a pain in the ass trying to find any of the OEM connectors for the original harness, so whatever clips I could salvage after depinning them, I kept, for the others, I am just going to do in Deutsch connectors.

I am waiting for those connector clips, terminal pins, and wire loom to arrive, so in the meantime, I just wanted to test-fit the harness to make sure the lengths were all correct.

To be safe, I am going to wire the entire car prior to sheathing everything, this way I do not have to cut through any of those items...shit gets expensive really quick when doing a project like this...I mean fuck, just the tools alone are .

Either way, I am glad that I am doing this, underneath all of that wire, Subaru did cut some corners. On a few occasions, I came across several wires that were knicked, which were just wrapped in more electric tape .

Needless to say, win, lose, or draw, this project is making me have a better appreciation for this build.
