Fuel pressure loss

Hey guys,

I have an LS swapped FRS. I'm using the stock fuel system up to the engine except I upgraded the pump with a DW65C. I've run on it for 2 years.

So on my way home from a car show today I noticed my fuel pressure was really low. Normally 59psi. It was about 35psi. I pulled and reinstalled my fuel pump. The car idles at 40psi and jumps to 59psi at 2000rpm. Once the fuel pump shuts off, I lose all pressure within a few seconds. Anyone have any ideas?

Is it an electric fuel pump?

Back in the day, I would have suggested to check and make sure the fuel filter was not clogged up. Then if it was clear, I would disconnect and blow out the fuel line.

If you have 2-3 o-rings on the pump, they're likely not seated. I replaced my DW with a Walbro and haven't looked back because of this.

I have 3 but it's been fine for 2 years so... I'll inspect them I guess

Fuel filter is part of the hanger assembly and is "no serviceable". I considered it myself but a plugged filter accounts for poor pressure, but not the rapid loss

May still be the filter its in the tank. The filter is the part the fuel pump slides up through.

Leak in the fuel pump assembly or your pump is getting tired or the one way valve has trash in it.
I'm leaning towards a leak.

I had a line split in the tank before results were 2 burnt pistons.

I took out my fuel pump and one of the sealing O Rings was deformed slightly. I replaced it with a fuel injector oring(only one available) and it fixed the problem 99%. I'll be ordering new Orings of the correct size soon. Thanks for the input boys
