I have observed there is a fluttery sound when the engine is in vacuum, in other words when the blowoff valve releases pressurized air. This is a V1 HKS kit .
Since the car comes off the road Nov 1, I am holding off removing the front bumper until then.
Has anyone else experienced anything like this? I'm hoping the valve is the cause as it sure sounds like it. No CEL lights or issues otherwise, just an annoying sound. Ideally, I can fix/clean the valve itself but Im expecting a torn or frayed membrane/flap maybe?

Thanks for the input. The thank you button didn't seem to work.
I see the HKS part is RELIEF VALVE in the kit.
I haven't removed the bumper yet, but wanted to ask you, is the membrane something you can replace? If so, did you use a substitute part or HKS?

If not, did you replace the entire valve, and also was it a substitute or HKS?

Thanks again, the car goes into hibernation for 5 months on Nov 1 so I'm just tolerating the sound (and possible boost leak) until then.

tomm.brz Again, thanks for your reply.

So many nice Italian cars that were never sold in Canada. When I was a kid in the late 60's, early 70's the people across the street had a red Fiat Spider 2000 with black interior. When they moved away, an Italian family moved in with a dark green Fiat 124 Sport with tan interior. That was the end of Fiat in Canada, they couldn't withstand our salted roads in winter. I know a.guy who had a late 60's Alfa Spider in mint shape. Ferrari and Lambos need to sit in storage half the year
Brother-in-law has a new Portofino at their "winter estate" in AZ. It's a beast, but he has a 60 Vette, 55 Austin Healy, 68 Jag E Type to pick if he wants a sports car. If I had their cash I'd travel to Italy all the time too. They were last in Apulia a few months ago, where it's less foreigners and more Italians.
