You need a turbo then, no? You will gain low end torque, but you will get turbo lag though and deal with boost threshold, so there are trade offs. That low end torque is nice for lazy shifting though.

Does anyone know if HKS is aware of the problem with the charger?

Pretty wide open question. Which problem are you specifically referring to? If it is the annulus separating from the input shaft, yes I am sure they are quite aware considering they have needed to provide replacements.

My warranty replacement has run like a champ and provided it doesn't bounce off the red line all the time or badly overheat it should be fine for many years, I hope.

The unit produces moderate torque, but the power is up high where I like it. By contrast I had a 2015 WRX with a twin scroll and the torque was full on at 1500 RPM. That would not suit this vehicle and result would be wheel spin and instability IMHO.

Cool! I'm hoping the GT2 improves upon some of the issues I've read about the GT V3 and other HKS kits. It's what put me off about getting one initially.
How does it feel driving?

*edit*
I just looked at the picture expanded and it says GT2 on it -_________-

it feels cool :P don't think it actually could feel different than the older v2 kit, they are still the same

I'm a bit limited from too much boost and not very suitable headers (HKS boxer spec UEL with cat) and from not straight catback, but still very powerfull

Traction Fluid v3

Anyone come up with an alternative to the $300 bottle of traction fluid? High viscosity oil is all you can find as for information regarding type of oil. Seem similar to ATF.

Rotrex traction fluid at $100/bottle but nobody seems willing to try it and report back.

Honestly what would be the difference? Oil is oil as long as you stay within the similar viscosity range. As long as the bearings are being lubricated and oil cooled with cooler. Anyone else?... care to comment?

Also has anyone had the issue where the traction fluid sweats out the top cap of the reservoir?...

Probably the result of overfilling the reservoir. Level to the line of the dipstick is maybe 25% filled at most. You will notice a lot of foaming if overfilled.
