Hey guys, I think those of you who come out to 86Fest this weekend might be able to find out some new information on a certain system from a prominent Supercharging company. Just sayin'...

I know vortech is a well known company but don't they strictly do centrifugal supercharged set ups? I would love to see someone step up to the plate with a roots style blower.

Most important thing I want to know is what are they using for engine management? I'm not sure that photos at 86Fest are going to tell me that. Are they using the Split Second piggyback?

The Vortech System will be a centrifugal system, utilizing a new compressor stage designed specifically for the 2.0L Boxer engine. Although we have both types of compressors at our disposal, a centrifugal supercharger lends itself much better to an engine of this type. We are confident everyone will be extremely pleased with what we bring to the table.

Can't spill the beans just yet, but rest assured it is a very capable & well recognized solution that we all will be happy with.

Vortech is on ECUTek's list as a tuner. So i would assume that's what they are using.

With turbo kits at $5500, you'd have to price a centrifugal at 3000 to get me to even think about it over a turbo.
