So these allocations are currently unclaimed? Although the dealer may have an internal list, correct?

I'm assuming the best approach is to try and chat with the sales manager to see if they make it happen?

I’ve called dealers on a few of these, including one from this latest batch, and it seems calling them “open” is a misnomer, the dealers all have lists and just haven’t “tagged” the incoming car to one buyer yet. You can forget about getting one, the dealers have multiple buyers on their wait lists.

People HAVE had success calling these dealers IMMEDIATELY, I've gotten a few PMs

But yes, most dealers will have internal order lists.

Call ASAP, cross your fingers and be polite

As is the Pavement MT in Orangeville. Then there's 8 more on their wait list, and I would bet that even if none of them had requested a Pavement car they would get asked if they want the Pavement even though they ordered say a Halo AT, before the dealer would sell that Pavement to some random dweeb on the phone lol.

I wonder what dealers do if the person who did order the exact Pavement build that is allocated to the dealer is #6 on their list - do they offer it to the other 5 first?

We do on the low production / harder to get models. But for something like a base Rav4 we just go to next order matching the colour. Depends on the dealer

My vendor just told me that they plan to receive only one GR86 for this year. They ad their annual meeting...
(I got mine already it's ok) But i think they have a 10 person waiting list...
It's a big dealers (Spinelli) à

They plan to get only one supra too but 6 Gr corrolla... (all sold already i think)

Thanks. Most local dealers don't even want to add you to the list. Only way to get their attention is if you want to buy the one 2018 beige Corolla they have on the lot.

These days I suppose anything is possible, but one GR86 for a whole year seems pretty far-fetched.
