Personally I can't take it seriously for the simple reason that it has ridiculous fender flares that don't look remotely OEM or non-cheap. They look like flexible rubber "one-size-fits-most" type flares you could buy at Autozone in the 90's.

I'm not opposed to the idea - I just don't have any interest in considering whether or not it looks good when it's clearly not a "stock" depiction. All the black makes me think rally car, but the ride height contradicts that. It's doing too many things at once to really accurately judge the alleged core concept of a hatch/shooting brake. This is hatch plus 2 or more other mod choices I wouldn't personally make. It muddies the waters.

Or, if they want to keep the cladding go full Safari and lift it. One or the other instead of the worst of both.

I will say it looks better than the shooting brake render of the Gen1 that made the rounds years ago.

Went beyond a render, they built a concept.

I liked it, and I like the one in the OP, but then I have a softspot for FF style shooting brakes.

Yeah! The doggos are a little bit cramped in the back. A hatch would fix that.

It'll never happen tho. Best they can do is let me try to get a Corolla GR allocation, which defeats the purpose.
