Invidia N1 with EL header
Sorry to beat a dead horse but after a long time searching Youtube and this forum I can't seem to find anyone running an Invidia N1 with an equal length header keeping the stock op + fp. The videos I have seen have had an aftermarket op + fp. I'm quite fond of the EL tone (Honda fanboy), but there seems to be quite a bit of rasp from the videos iv'e seen using the aftermarket op + fp. Trying to find out if there's less rasp if you keep the stock op + fp. Is there anyone that has run an EL header with the N1 catback that can chime in with an opinion? Already have the N1, Now trying to decide if I want a header or not. Any input will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I had an EL header with the N1 and stock over pipe and front pipe for a short time. It's very loud, as is any header with the N1, but it sounded absolutely amazing. I had the N1 with an UEL header and EL header and it sounds so much better with the EL header, to me personally.
The N1 is just way too loud for me but the N1 + EL header is one of the best sounding combos I've heard for this car. No rasp with the stock front pipe but there is drone. |

That's what I wanted to hear. Not too concerned over noise levels, mainly sound quality. I have no issues with the volume of the N1 itself. I know it's hard to quantify but did the noise level increase a dramatic amount once using the header or was it a tolerable increase, like could you hold a conversation without yelling whilst putting around town? Thanks again.

Going catless is usually the culprit behind the rasp. If you keep a catted FP you shouldn't get a lot of rasp. On the stock header, Motive Concepts OP, Invidia catless resonated FP and Invidia N1 CB it was a pretty smooth sound. I switched to a catless EL header, and its raspy over 4k for the most part.
