was released in 2012 but they were all classed as 2013s. Also no sayin that an Anniversary Edition will be released in all markets. It could very easily be just a North American thing.

As far as pricing do you think can we expect MSRP in the 32k range?

Every time, without fail, someone has to say this. Look around and find places that sell MSRP, get on their waitlist early, put in a deposit if you want. If you're from California: Longo, One, and Walnut Creek.

My dealer from the little town in Kentucky where I grew up serves the community right and has no markup on any cars, on any of their brands. Some dealers just do the right thing. Some don’t. I hope people note the difference during these challenging times.

I drove 4 hours to go up and support them. They even sold a Supra at MSRP. Don Moore.

Yep. The dealers that do the markups are generally in the high volume areas on the coasts. Not even their fault that they throw markups at cars really. It is the people that are willing to pay those mark ups that allow them to do it. If I made my living selling a product and there were fools willing to pay extra for it you gotta' believe I would charge it!

Ironically enough if you look back at the first gen and those that paid mark ups you will see that they were also the ones that resold the cars the quickest. Some people jut get a rush from chasing the next bigger and better thing and don't care if they throw money away to get it.

There's also the part where the FRS was sold as a Scion which had a "no haggle" policy so most of them were sold at MSRP. Technically, they could be marked up as long as the dealer advertised that price but not a lot, at least around this portion of the East Coast, did that.

Reading back there were several people that paid a markup even on the FRS. If I recall most were on the west coast though.

So how can I protect myself with a pre order? When you make a deposit do you get a buyer's order or something with an agreed upon price? Also I've heard horror stories about dealers not refunding deposits if something goes wrong.

In the U.S. there was no 2021 model year. I'm thinking that's the same everywhere else (no 2020 production?)
So that's 10 years in both calendar years, 2012-2022 production, and model years 2013-2023.
