This is what my wife and I ended up doing. It's a really nice head unit that uses your smartphone as the screen.

I was using the steelie on my old car but on the FRS I can't think of a spot to actually mount it out of the way. Do you have a picture? or anyone else with the steely.

EDIT: Or a spot out of the way but close enough to see if needed.

This is the only picture I have of mine... the heinekin shift knob was just a joke for fun. I put it on the lower right corner of the radio bezel.

I actually put mine just a tad up from that same spot, pretty much in the center of that same area.

besides me, anyone find mounting your car dock on top of the dash makes your phone unbearably hot in warm sunny weather? I have an htc one m7 so the back of my phone heats up like crazy after a long periods so I worry about it overheating my phone. I'm currently finding another way to mount the car dock away from direct sunlight.

fabricated my own mount using a piece of scrap aluminum, a Scosche magnetic mount and black spray paint. It's a little rough, but this was the first time I have ever tried anything like this.

I have this on the left side too. My phone gets hot so this works for me. I don't use car's heater where I live.

You mount it into your a/c vents, and it's spring loaded, keeping the phone held sturdily.

One bonus is that it can act as a kickstand when not mounted in my car. Check it out!

Caseco core 360 a bit pricey but by far the most stable phone mount out there especially useful with the Torque Pro App !Name: uploadfromtaptalk1433672427473.jpg
