Finally some redemption after the millions of dollars of investment and years of heartbreak/near wins

Sooooo how long before they start trotting out LeMans winning editions of the 86?
Last year was heartbreaking for Toyota. Glad they got some redemption, even without any real completion. Although Rebellian Racing did a fantastic job.

You'll probably see a hybrid Camry or Prius in that badging before the 86....

Did subaru participate this year? I checked the list and didn't see them on there.

You are correct, no Subaru content this year. But, back in 2014 TTAC printed this; the automaker has eyes on going back into the racing game with hybrid power, with Le Mans in particular. Toyota’s fortunes in LMP1, along with Nissan’s 2015 return, have the executives’ attention, and company insiders claim the budget to go all in could be found “if there is a big English audience to recognize the Le Mans commitment.”

They're better off joining the IMSA WeatherTech Sports Car Championship in the DPi class. Nissan pulled out of LeMans after the absolute abysmal failure of the fwd Nissan GTR-LM.

DPi Is much cheaper and puts it out of competition with Toyota. A BRZ or STi branded DPi would do a lot for Subaru's racing clout here in North America, beyond the younger generation/time attack/rally crowd.

they really don't need any more clout in NA, they literally sell every car they make and send here. Subaru needs a bigger Euro presence.

Funny!

I've tried my PC, laptop, Raspbery Pi and tablets to connect to the manual site. No luck. It has to be my connection (Wave G). WTF, over?

I'll try my phone and VPN next.

Subaru will never win races as long as they keep using big heavy crank pulleys. WTF were they thinking?
