Which LED bulb/socket?

I'm trying to mod my rear reflector to function as an additional brake light but am having trouble deciding which bulb and socket to use. I want it to be a red LED and dual filament so it can come on with the headlights and get brighter when I hit the brakes.

I have looked at some DIY articles here and can't find the information I need. One write up uses 2 bulbs (I just want to use 1) and some of the other write ups have broken links or don't specifically state which bulb/socket they used. Plus, I'm currently only able to do my computing on a smartphone so an extensive google search would be rather tedious.

Who here has the set up I'm looking for and can tell me what they've used? Also, any issues with the bulbs getting too hot and affecting the plastic housing? I doubt this would happen with LEDs but I want to double check.

Thanks.

For a dual filament use a 7443 or possibly 3157?

I may have a spare almost-plug-and-play setup. I'd be able to supply everything needed. I'm doing a few local installs.
