Well I tried one dealer but they referred me to their special parts order department which im waiting to hear from.

Other Businesses are closed today until Monday. So I wanted to try and see if there were stores online that had them in the interim. Oh I'm in Jamaica by the way .

Yeah. That's why I asked. I see only a couple Toyota dealers. I'd just reinstall the old one while waiting for the replacement to arrive. Just be really careful about backing up.

What I did, or my mechanic rather, as a quick fix was to install an additional washer to the switch which enables it to be sunk fully when the Reverse Gear touches the Switch. We did that quick fix today and it works now but I still need a new switch to permanently get it fixed again. I will check out this link that you provided though. It seems to be it.

Thank you very much for the assistance though!

Would an extra washer make the button further away? I would assume he grid down the shoulder of the sensor? I am having a similar problem i think. My indicator shows fine but my lights only show if I wiggle the shifter.

I wondered about that too. Didn't want to make it a thing. It might be like the door switches where the circuit is closed upon release. Then adding the washer makes sense. We can check the wiring/circuit diagrams to verify. Look for the manuals in my sig line. I'll study them after work today. The disagreement between reverse indication, and lights would make sense if the indicator latches electronically between reverse and neutral. Then, even a momentary reverse signal would not be cancelled until switching back to neutral.

Thanks Ultramaroon. I will try to hook up a multimeter on the sensor after work. If it's open when not in reverse then i know it's opposite of a door switch. Really bugs me that no one can see me back up. I thought it was the reverse cam but i noticed my back up lights are also not on when it reads no signal. My gear indicator works just fine so I figure it's the switch. It intermittently works when I jiggle the shifter and flickers when in motion. I am pretty sure it's either out of adjustment or just worn out. I will report back once I find out.

It's normally open - opposite of a door switch. Just looked it up. Washer would not have worked.
