However, If I am wrong about, or missed anything that says otherwise, then I apologize for that and take it back.

That being said, my feelings about how people choose to perceive this car is the same. Subaru/Toyota have addressed numerous problems that the 86 had like, someone posted a pic of the torque curve that was flattened out, which is obviously a great thing because that's the main complaint people had right? No. Your first reaction is to say there's still a torque dip there. I apologize if your 30 years of experience has tuned your senses so well that you can perceive that tiny undulation of torque. You are truly one of the best drivers I have ever had the chance to meet.

In the end of the day, it's your opinion though and you have the right to express it, but I'm gonna use mine to say you're a huge downer. That's it.
Yes a bunch of people complained about the dip. A bunch others had no issue with it. It was never a "problem". It just meant you had to actually drive the car.
It is not negative to point out that there is indeed a dip still there. It is smaller but still there. That is fact
Your sarcasm missed the mark since I am one of the ones that never had an issue nor concern with the existing "dip" so don't give a flying fuck if it is still there even though greatly reduced.

I am a downer to you because you want everybody to join hands and sing kumbaya and not have anything bad to say. That is just not the real world.

You must be a sad little man to manage to twist every point I make into some negative angle.

Specs are nice. Not great but good.
Design is subjective to personal taste.
It is very very easy to be unhappy with this design for many.
Many others seem to love it.
As long as each group is not trying to tell the other group they are wrong that is fine.

Don't support POS channels.

The only reason I watched it was to get any new info I could on the new BRZ. I tried my best to ignore him. He really doesn’t provide any insight or in depth review of cars.

You are in denial about the design. Everything is passable besides that front bumpers pervy grin. ITS NOT A FKN MAZDA.

Everyone is in denial and they are wrong if they like this front bumper.

I can live with the grill but those intakes, side vents and running boards are just so so out of place. The classic lines are gone and it looks like somebody threw just part of a cheap widebody kit on it.
I am sure the 16 to 20 year old crowd will love it. In 5 years when the used ones are dirt cheap they will scoop them up like mad.

stopped at #2296. my main question is, will the new motor swap easily into the 'old' car, and how long is it going to take for people to start doing it? also curious about the 'upgraded' brakes(despite looking identical), and the lug pattern spacing...

the first thing that comes to mind is "designed by focus group". the edges are smoothed over, and just feel like a phycologist asking me "how do you feel about that"...

the digital dash is a major deal killer(backlight fuks up night vision, i drive the car primarily at night), stupid built-in rear spoiler on the trunk messes up most wing options, the rear end styling is so bland, it kills anything left that the digital dash didn't.

I get the "lets target the demographic that doesn't buy new cars but like to complain on the internet" vibe from it.

The twins don’t put down M3 power levels, a wider tire wouldn’t help much except look better. I guess you could argue you could have more cornering grip with wider tires, a bigger contact patch, but it sounds like there is tons of grip with this car. And razor sharp steering. I’m ok with the skinny tires, especially an actual good tire like the Michelin PS4.

That ducktail looks to be a removable part. It's looks like a piece of plastic that covers the corner of the lid. You can see the parting line in photos. Presumably the Toyota version may be different.

The whole front is a mess really, besides the headlamps.

The 16-20, year old crowd may not even pick these ones up assuming the gen 1/1.5 are even cheaper, they will want those. This is more of a older woman car now, there I said it. More cupholders and safety tech.

The mature female demographic will be addressed in a future MY Launch Edition model
