I finally finished mine. Used the same hex mesh from my hood. Turned out good. I used a two part plastic epoxy from JB Weld that you can pick up anywhere. I needed to trim back a little bit to get it to fit properly.

Here is the finished result. I needed to trim a ton of steel out from the fender. I put paint on the bare metal and sprayed the inner fender with gloss black to make it look better through the vent.

Please report if this seems to help with the heat generated from the turbo. I have thought about this since I don't like the idea of open hood venting above the turbo, living in a frequently rainy/snowy environment.

My vented pieces just pour hot air from my turbo.

Awesome job!
Smart work spray painting the inside after your cuts. I didn't do that and after a year was getting some gnarly looking rust in there. Just took mine off and rubber sealed the whole thing.

Cheers

looks good xkalelx. I would have considering doing the underneath the vent paint in a matte black so the underneath wont shine through

It performed well this weekend at TougeFest 2018. I was really pushing the car and never saw the oil temps hit 210degF. But I am also running a massive Setrab core and have this MPH hood. So heat really isnt an issue anymore. But whenever I get out I can feel massive amounts of hot air pouring out of the fender vents. So they must work even if it is marginal.
