Dude, what's your damage? Guy is trying to bring something new to market, has made no boasts about anything and you're all up his ass.

That first post wasn't even his, it was from FT-86 Factory.

I know they only shared a tiny bit of data mixed in with a sales pitch, and I know that stock lift is only ..... .433? Off the top of my head, so eh..
This is what i measured for a stock head.

Now you know who I was waiting on... I'd blame the whole wait game on him. Lets all hate on @nelsmar!

Realistically we wish Velox could have enough capital to have its own force induced project car but every bit of funds we do have go right back into developing the platform in other aspects. The result is R&D of certain parts (intake mani in a forced inducted application) takes significantly longer than anyone would like. I apologize for this but we're doing the best we can with what we have.

Thanks for the patience everyone. The one good thing is it has allowed me time to design another concept for an NA manifold. I made the mistake of putting a timeline on this design concept so my mouth is staying shut on this next design . But it is underway.

I always didn't like our exhaust ports. Explains a bit how over designed the exhaust is for the heads & hence no real gains from cat-backs.

The next step is to port some heads.

You think the 86 heads are bad on the exhaust side? Look at this from the stock head on my GTI if you want a good laugh:

For the record, I don't disagree with you, our exhaust ports are hilariously bad compared to the intake, especially the rear cylinders with that bizarre "S" bend they do.

Not disagreeing with you but I've heard this (rear cylinders) a few places... The "s" bend is on cylinder 1 (Passenger front), and cylinder 4 (driver rear). Very interesting compared to the intake indeed.

Most decent modern heads flow roughly that ratio intake to exhaust. This isn't anything bad

its like someone had the highest HP NA FA20, the highest wheel torque stock turbo FA20 and a mustang dyno all in one shop waiting for a manifold to test....

Well the Mark II GTi head was designed a million years ago. We didn't call those things a 2.slow for no reason Sometimes I miss my Mk2 GLI. I had a 1.8 16V many moons ago

My mistake. I don't remember off the top of my head and it's been a while since my header was off.

The 2.slow was the 8V ABA I've got a 16V too... not a 2.0 anymore though

I really enjoy the GTI, I just wish it was reliable. Over modded the damned thing.

Anyway, back on topic!

I'm always the reason we cant have nice things. LOL

I conveniently have a spare set of heads... Which are actually in Eric's possession for mock up. lol

I need to find another set he can use for mock so we can test my spares.

I haven't followed in a while... Did someone break 220WHP SAE on a mustang??? (E85). I still have access to the car I did 220WHP with...

Hey the summer is almost over (at least the 110F+ part). If I can manage to stop breaking everything we will toss it on the rollers =D. I am hoping to have time to slap it on in the next few weeks. I have been waiting on a part from Subaru that was supposed to show up this week. I need to swap my fuel system out to fit the prototype manifold and do some testing prior to strapping the car down. Me nor Eric work in this industry full time so time is sparse between the two of us. =/ Hopefully I can get time before 86fest. But that would just be time to test the current iteration. R&D takes a long time.
