None here, but I don't have any accessories installed on mine. I'm going to guess there are very few 86s involved in this.

Yeah, I can't think of any options that SET installs that require a torque wrench. They should also keep records about which cars go down which lines, so they'd isolate the cars that these guys worked on. Given that it's only two technicians, the low volume of the model, and the limited number of port-installed accessories, I really doubt we'll see many.

Not to worry, the only items affected by that issue of the torque wrench are the sport and TRD exhaust for the FRS. The TSB you are refering has about 129 pages so I cannot post or upload it all here at work (Toyota part employee). If you have one of those 2 parts on your car you can take it in and have it looked at with no issue. I haven't posted many TSB's lately but thats because I have seen none lately which is a good thing for us all. The last major issue I have seen was:
Some 2013 model year FR-S vehicles may exhibit intake and/or exhaust camshaft position sensor related and/or engine misfire DTCs (P0340, P0341, P0345, P0346, P0365, P0366, P0390, P0391, P0301, P0302, P0303, and P0304) due to the camshaft position sensor clearance being out of specification. In addition, some vehicles may also experience rough idle or extended cranking. dated: 5/30/14 TSB: S-SB-0013-14 which I cannot post because it has numbers to Toyota techstream which is not for public use. |
