Yes they apparently are made by the same company.. they are the exact same only have the heating and LED turn signals. There is great visibility with them. Also I found the fact they are polarised is great - no glare. Functionally they are great but they kind of ruin my super clean look. If only they were not blue.. but for now they are staying because my wife loves them so much.

Here is the thread about them http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=51863

I bought them from phastek in Houston and they are currently backordered. I got them on sale and would be happy to sell to someone local at the price I paid without shipping so you can save some money too (receipt + original box etc). I'll even install them for you (but not the turn signals - or heaters unless your car has the heater wiring already - my BRZ did)

I'll leave them on for now in case the look grows on me and in case someone wants to see them installed.

EDIT: for now no longer available... wife loves them too much. Sorry
Are they galaxy blue or wr blue?

Hmmm if I don't have the blue mirror she is less likely to want to drive it... this could work out well for me. (But the flip side is if she did drive it and have an accident she would be sure to blame it on my swapping the mirrors back and then I would never hear the end of it).

So... here is a pic I just took so you can agree (or disagree) with me that the car looks worse with the mirrors. Sorry Turkish and others waiting on nice shots of the matte - whenever the weather has been good for pictures I've been busy so I still don't have any good shots yet. I will say the paint protection is awesome - after a road trip to san Antonio the nose was covered in bugs and a wet paper towel wipe and they were all gone.

I don't think the blue looks any worse than regular. I actually kind of like it.

Someone almost hit me on Christmas as well. Idiot in San Antonio made a sudden right turn from the left lane while I was on the side of him.

As for the mirrors, I like the blue tint. I would consider these but I've already adjusted my mirrors to eliminate my blind spot. Still seems like a nice upgrade though.

I think they look good! Also have you ever seen that type of paint protection done on a raven? I want to see what it looks like because I am highly considering paint protection because after just 5500 miles I've already gotten some bad rock chips and thanks to the body shop that did the collision repairs on my car for scratching the entire car with a terrible buff job and even buffing through the clear coat in some areas they will be wet sanding my whole car and shooting another coat of clear.

Are you OK? I am still recovering from seeing a motorcycle wreck christmas morning in san antonio on 35 shortly after it happened... I had to drive carefully around pieces of the guy. I can't get some of those images out of my head (I'll spare you the details). Gory movies don't prepare you for seeing that stuff in real life - especially on christmas morn. I don't think I will be back on a bike for a while...

I have not seen the matte on raven - but they can apply a test patch for you to see. The film is from Xpel they offer several different films depending on the look you want (matte, gloss, minimal), as well as several types of installations (for example you can pay more to have them remove the body pieces and completely wrap the pieces) as well as different kits from covering just the front bumper and mirrors to covering the whole car. I HIGHLY recommend them and have been absolutely thrilled with the Austin crew and with the product. They even wrapped my sub enclosure so I don't have to worry about throwing things in the trunk and scratching the sub all up!

The Austin sales contact is Trent McClure you can give him a call at 512.220.2009. Please tell him I referred you (Chris with the matte BRZ)

Also I am happy to show you my BRZ and explain a little bit about the paint protection since I did a lot of research etc if you would rather talk to a fellow enthusiast instead of the sales guy.. but Trent is really good to talk to - not pushy at all, down to earth, wants to work out what is best for you. But go ahead and send me a PM if you want to come see my BRZ before we all have a chance to meet at the next gathering.

I installed a set of Eibach Sportlines @ DIY Texas in 3 hours using a lift. Used a great set of instructions that are posted in the suspension thread. Did not have to compress the springs - really easy install.

I like the look, but how is the comparative handling and ride?
I assume that you've had or will soon have an alignment.
