You'd think a suburb would be somewhat immune to this kind of thing but apparently not.

My mom lives in South San Jose, 95117, where I grew up. nothing but suburb.
It is so bad now you can't leave your car trunk open while bringing in the groceries. Car Windows broken during the day. Sad. My house was burgled in 2014 in Cambrian. Nice quiet Cambrian. Bay Area sucks now.

You'd think a suburb would be somewhat immune to this kind of thing but apparently not.

I'm thinking that these days, there is NO PLACE that is immune to stuff like that. My advice is to avoid situations like that (walk another way).

If that won't work, just tell them that your dog has rabies and you're taking it to the vet.

I Google Map "South San Jose, 95117" and Street View some random place: intersection Radcliffe Dr and Lynn Oakes Dr and wander down Radcliffe Dr.
It looks like a nice respectable suburb.

Yep, that's why it's so upsetting. My mom's house is one street over. That's where I grew up.

Edit: my mom just text me, the neighbors work truck was broken into last night.
