I haven't been posting but I have been working on the builds.

Recently I have been cleaning up the interior of the RS1. I've removed all the interior minus the dash and have wiped down each plastic piece and shined them up using Meguire's Ultra Black. I've also cleaned up all the door and trunk seals. Then I stored them away in containers to keep them dust free untill I reinstall them.

I purchased a small steam cleaner that I plan on using on all the interior fabrics.

After, I complete the cleaning, I will focus my attention on cleaning up the rear wheel arch cuts. The previous owner didn't do a clean job so I will fix it. Then I need to get it repainted the OEM yellow.

I did receive an order from RHD Japan which included my Blitz ZZ-R coilovers and Blitz truss bars. These parts will install on the BRZ and not the RS1. I plan on selling the RS1 with the Robot Craftsman widebody kit and ForgeStar F14 wheels.

I'm enjoying the grind but not going to lie, I want to be done so bad! There just isn't enough time since I do everything myself.

I had also been working on getting the measurements for a backing plate that lowers the rear deck brake light. I came across the idea after stumbling across a YouTube video.

I have the measurements taken and I've drawn up the plate in Solidworks. I'm new to Solidworks...my original drawing was done in Affinity Designer. I exported it as a dxf file then opened it in Solidworks.

With the help of a coworker, we drew up a Solidworks drawing of an aluminum battery tray for a Shorai battery. I should be machining both parts soon.

Driver side finished. There is more to this process but I only wanted to share the meat and potatoes.

Previous owner or shop did not weld the inner fender to the outer skin. Although I recently purchased a welder, I have only tack welded years ago. I did my own wheel arch modifications on my Monogram but did not want to take the chance or time to get up to speed on welding for this project. I did not want to burn through this thin sheet metal as the inner fender slits were already barely to the edge of the outer skin.

So I riveted in L-brackets to strengthen the arch. Then I used 3M aluminum tape on the inside of the cabin to cover the large gaps. I filled in gaps with Dynatron seam sealer. Then I covered the area with short strand fiberglass. I hit imperfections with 3M body filler and finshed off the minor imperfections with Bondo glazing putty.

I used self etching primer on bare metal, then filler primer, and finally primer sealer. There were more things I completed between all these steps but the aforementioned were the meat and potatoes of the process.

I've already started the passenger side wheel arch. Once complete, I will turn my attention to the engine bay then to fixing some fiberglass issues with the driver side Robot Craftsman widebody before turning this project over to a paint shop for a full respray in Yuzu yellow.

How I purchased the RS1.

Inside cabin. Fiberglass was used to seal openings. Not executed properly. Sealant job was messy and did not cover all gaps. Weather and debris made its way in. I found minimal rust which is always good.

This picture illustrates the gaps...as you can see light making its way through.

Fiberglass removed.

L-Brackets installed. I started off with a manual rivet squeezer then my compressor warranty motor arrived and I finished with an aviation air hammer and bucking bar.

3M aluminum tape applied.

This time I used Rust-Oleum Professional Grade Rubberized Undercoating Spray. I previously used a 3M branded spray if I'm not mistaken.

It's been a bit since I posted last. I have stayed busy though...working on adding storage to my shop, organizing my shop, buying parts, trading parts, and putting work in on the RS1.

I acquired via trade an OEM Brembo BBk. So far I have the rears ready for high temp primer, metal cast ground coat, and metal cast red paint. I ordered PowerStop discs and brake pads kit as well as StopTech stainless steel brake lines.

I've cleaned, prepped, and painted my front knuckles. I've also done the same with the hub bearings. I've upgraded the OEM studs to ARP 7716 3 inch studs.

I picked up some front lower control arms and rear upper control arms. I also have trailing arms, RLCAs, and Blitz coilovers.

I'm contemplating purchasing the Robot Craftsman (RC) rear bumper as my RS1 was missing the RC rear bumper and hood. Not sure if I will do the hood though.

There is more but I'll leave it here for now...I'll post pics soon.

It's been a while...I have kept busy though...doing and learning as I go.

Here are some of the things I've accomplished over the last few months.

Wheel wells and Trunk refresh

Engine Bay, Subframes and Steering Rack

This is next...

Knuckles Refresh (new hub bearings) ARP studs

Brembo BBK Refresh (acquired these in a trade) I may go back and powder coat them though.

Refreshed Cusco RLCAs (Still need to acquire new reverse thread jamb nuts)

TRD exhaust refresh

Next up is the undercarriage. I'm going to refresh and coat it with a roll-on product. Not sure which I'll use yet.

I'm reconsidering a complete repaint again. The chassis is basically stripped all the way down anyway...so I might have it painted Toyota Super White II.

I've also cleaned up a lot of hardware and purchased many suspension parts.

Stay tuned...more to come...

Well...I switched it up again...lol

I'm now going to keep the RS1 but it will not wear a Robot Craftsman widebody kit.

The RS1 will now wear a Rocket Bunny version 2 kit. I have mint Pandem 6666 wheels with widebody fitment.

The Robot Craftsman widebody kit is up for sale and listed in the member classifieds. It has been reworked and primed for paint.

$2500 OBO. Willing to meet within 2 hours of my home in west Texas.

The Robot Craftsman Kit includes:

- Front Bumper
- Front Lip
- Front Bumper Canards
- Front Fender (replacements)
- Side skirts
- Rear Quarter (overfenders)
- Mesh Grilles

**NO REAR BUMPER

I have three good ForgeStar F14 (widebody fitment) wheels and one that requires repair or replacement. I will include those for an additional $800.

See member classified post for widebody sale here: https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink/top...ink_source=app

I completed all this work on my 2015 BRZ. I blacked out the interior using flat black vinyl and fabric paint. I had previously steam cleaned the carpet.

**Many other panels painted but not shown. Also added a reverse camera.

Modified OEM shift knob

Removed worn leather, textured and painted shifter and trim pieces. Cleared the top piece and painted it anodized red.

Cleaned up and painted A/C controls and clock (Dupli-Color Vinyl & Fabric paint)

Re-textured and painted center console (SprayMax Texture Paint)

Painted STI push button start trim

Painted shift boot trim and traction control buttons

Re-textured and painted driver door card.

Cleaned up amd painted

Painted tachometer trim

So I've been working on the 2015 BRZ. Recently I've reinstalled my new and improved door cards with door strap pulls. I've also been tackling many other mods and tasks.

I've textured and painted many interior parts and only have a few left to complete. I will take the BRZ to get tint redone before I install the rear interior parts. I'm also modding the rear deck brake light in order to lower its profile.

I'm troubleshooting an issue with no power to the reverse light. I need the reverse light signal to switch my aftermarket HU to backup camera mode.

I also have an issue with no output on the front door speakers. The front door speaker issue has to do with the amp not getting the power signal from HU. I'm trying to locate the position of the amp turn on in the oem harness. I've read of number of things about this issue but none have remedied my issue yet.

I added a fast charging dual USB type C charger. It sits where the OEM USB connection once was. I tapped the connection at the center console 12v plug to power it. I extended the aftermarket HU USB cable and placed a USB connection for Android auto in the old 12v plug location. I kept the casing and flip cover of the oem 12v plug... looks OEM. Looks super clean.

I closed up my super mint Monogram oem seat. I had taken out the heating element to put in my Bride seat years back. I ordered some hog ring pliers and clips to complete this task. Easier than I thought it would be...glad I didn't pay someone to do it. These seats will go into the Brz...in fact, all the seating will be from my Monogram.
