I've just graduated from HPDE class D, so I absolutely must get a BBK kit or I can't possibly be fast, right?

Maybe you should try what I did to get out of group D…. Just lie about your experience/credentials when you register! Tell them you are a Porche instructor! I tell people how to build porches all the time and I am not a contractor!
