What mufflers (if any) did you get? Piping size?

Just curious.

I have the 2.5 4" muffler set up. What can I use to clean up the tips. I notice this winter is tearing them up

Well, I'd suggest you start off with warm soapy water.

If that don't do it, some store bought stainless steel cleaner should ....

Trutle wax makes a good metal polish. I'd try washing first since you don't want to rub the salt into them.

If you spray your car off frequently it keeps them pretty clean.

Installed a 3" axleback with 5" offset mufflers a couple days ago. Everything lines up great! I am amazed at how loud it seemed at idle, but once in the car I hear the engine much more than the exhaust. Guess I need to get off my arse and install the over pipe / front pipe combo and see how that sounds.

Bored last night, went out to drive Hwy 9 around midnight... Sorry for poor recording, the audio is pretty spot on though, especially when viewing videos in HD.

The boxer rumble really comes out!

Nameless Axleback 2.5" x 5" mufflers. First generation, offset.
OFT, Stage One = aggressive sounds due to VVT @ 4k
Sound tube delete

I just got the 2.5 with 5 inch mufflers as a starting point after much research. Thank you for the videos btw! After a month of driving it's just right,as you stated alil loud on cold start up but sounds awesome after idle down & under load it sounds badass! Now I'm thinking full nameless system but I'm gonna wait on those informative videos to get a taste first.

That is an awesome windy road and you drove it well. Your rpms rarely dropped below 4k and you had in the sweet spot the entire time

Really diggin the 2.5 x 5 inch. I have no future plans for a header or any other serious mods so this axleback seems perfect. Think I'll pick one up before summer.

Anyone having clearance issues with the 3" header back exhaust? Looks like it hangs real low and with a car lowered about 1" it would scrape on some speed humps?

I did not have scrape issues at about 1.2" dropped. You have to be wary of that when going 3". The back part of the exhaust hangs a bit lower so you will need to raise your car up some.

Only asking because if I go with the BRZ S over the 86 the 'S' kit is lower on the STI springs and here in Australia we've got some pretty bad speed humps

@Ryan@Nameless would it be possible to buy just an unwelded muffler say the 4" one in 2.5" piping size.

Thinking the 92Db at 50ft might be too much for the country boy cops around here and i really like the way the axle back sounds on a stock car.

Maybe start offering 3&2.5" mid pipes with resonator and muffler options like the wrx sedan.

Wanted to ask a couple questions with people who had this axleback. So I'm highly considering the nameless axleback because of how I mainly just want to change the sound. It also looks like it gives some performance which is also a plus! What I have questions about is when reading through this thread I noticed that they changed the design of there axleback if im not mistaken.

Was wondering what did they change and why. Also I wanted to ask with the newer design is there any rasp/drone? I'm mainly looking for an axleback that doesn't drone because I DD my car.

Also if I were to pair this axleback with a frontpipe or header will it produce any drone? Any videos with either combo? Would appreciate some feedback and thanks!
