I sat down and played for 3-4 hours this weekend after not really playing for a year, aside from 3-4 little short sessions to setup my VR a month ago. It was really difficult for the first hour and I forgot how vague the FFB is in GT7, especially at low speeds. I am just working on circuit experience's now to relearn tracks. I did jump into Monza with the GR86 and got into the 1:10's.

I can easily handle long gaming session in VR now. Spinning does make me feel off for a minute though. I really don't like playing without it as it is so much easier to learn braking zones and turn in points. I just wish it wasn't so fuzzy compared to a screen, but all the other pluses make it worth it for me.

Plus, I want to see how the Apple VR thing works because it may be cool to have for normal activities + work (yes yes apple I know but I use it at home and for work so ) but that'll probably be in the ballpark of 3k.

It might just be because you're rusty. I thought it was difficult, but still Golded it all within an hour.

So I'm not very good at these games, my reflexes aren't what they once were, and I use a controller. That said, I finally committed to getting gold on all of the license tests a bit ago and seeing this thread pop up reminded me of how much the formula car at Laguna Seca broke my brain. Thanks for that.

I think the last license or two I couldn't get all gold on. Congrats!

Thanks! Spa and Laguna Seca each took a few hours to get right. Probably spent more time on it than I should have.

Maybe I'll revisit trying to get gold on all the tests. Hope I don't rage quit. LOL

I get that, but it is also a lot cheaper then a decent TV. Just limited in current available games and use.

Heh that leads to my other problem: I just shelled out recently for a flagship oled tv which I basically never do. GT7 already looks magnificent on it as well.

I’m thinking it was fatigue. I started playing that night 30 mins after I’m typically asleep haha.

I finally got back around to trying again tonight, gold on first complete lap. Did about 5 laps, steadily improved each time but only got into the 1:48’s. I’m still confounded by this track. Would love to see what on gods green earth someone does to get into the 1:45’s

The new Nurburgring WTC800 race is hard! Got lucky since the Viper seemed to run out of gas on the last corner! I was down to 0.1 / 4% gas on that corner too!

The current time trial challenge in sport mode is so dumb. I hope some asshat doesn’t want to go any faster then the current top time in the world.
