Installed the STI battery tie down and removed the mounting base that came with the Optima battery (installed on the bottom).
Now the battery is lying down about 1-2 inch lower than factory battery.
Even though the Optima battery is not lighter than factory one, it has a lower center of gravity now----I might think too much, hah.

Nahhh.. but that's not a bad idea

I'm still infatuated with sewing. It's a top piece I plan to upholster and then adhere it to the door.

I figured there was no way I have the skill to wrap the whole panel successfully. So I did some photoshops and it looked great sectioned off like that.

I'll start one this weekend. I have so many pictures. Maybe it'll inspire others to start some stuff

Looking at all your rides, man, I can't wait to start building mine out. Alas, I am still under warranty, so I just got my first check up today and oil change.

Ahh, that's pretty clever. I thought you might be step one of a multi-piece door card female mold or something, but this should still be pretty rad! You've been doing some ace upholstering lately!

Some day I'd love to replace most of the plastic interior panels with carbon versions, but holy hell is making composite parts time-consuming (especially ones that are complex shapes). Not to mention I don't know how you'd deal with replicating all the little tabs and crap that are molded into the plastic for sticking pieces together...
