No truckers or deer were harmed in the making of that thread.

Yay.
The job I used to do here was originally done by like 5 people, then they put me in when someone left, and took another guy out so it was down to 4, then someone else left and it was 3, someone else left and it was 2 and a half (they assigned tasks to someone else that was part of the team). When they moved me it was just 1 and a half, until the non-team member was removed too. They won't hire anyone new, so what used to be a 4/5 person job is done by just 1 person. And she's on vacation this week. Which means, while two other people on that team are scrambling to keep it in check, they are struggling (I forgot to mention they also fired two other people from that team that handled different tasks, which are now split up between the remaining 4 or 5 people), so I got an email from my supervisor yesterday saying I would have to help them. I had a conversation with her today where she was trying to figure out why I didn't get very many of them done when what I had "Should've take minutes" despite the fact it's been over a year since I was in the other department. I also get to keep all my normal work I do in this team, while trying to help out the others all of which I "should be more than capable of doing."

As opposed to what, exactly? I'm on my lunch break right now, so it's not like I'm wasting time doing this. Unless you're just accusing me of being whiny, which I guess is fair enough, but the person I would normally complain to is the one on vacation for whom I'm covering.

We currently have 2 threads going on in the engine section where both have CELs but don't have the CEL codes. What in the ever loving fuck are we supposed to do or how can we hope to help without even having some direction to start with?
"Well gee, my car has a CEL. I better go on the forums and complain about it instead of reading what the codes are so I could have that info right away." Do most people lack critical thinking/problem solving skills in this modern age? Tectoniic thanks you for reading this Toozday rant....as you were
