Honestly, I think most of the complaints stem from things outside Toyota's control. Namely, if they had gotten the price closer to $20k usd instead of $25k, there would be far less complaints about power, the weight and the spartan interior... And of course, the exchange rate kinda screwed that up with the yen appreciating...

Agreed. Look at how saggy that sideskirt is on the mule. Definitely there to throw off the design hidden underneath.

BMW insider has said a hybrid version will be offered by Toyota.

Engines expected are a four And a six cylinder but with exclusive output unique to this car which assists the less is more philosophy from BMWi.

The Toyota will offer a hybrid and it not unthinkable BMW might do so later.

Someone should anonymously slip them Ichi's shooting brake concept or the 86 ute concept and tell them it's the new Supra. See if they'll publish it.

to be fair most sport cars have this basic side profile. to me the car in question has a longer hood when compared to the 86.

I can see where you're coming from, and that's very observant of you.

I still think it's an 86.

Yah... Just another 86

:X

Heh...

Someone with photoshop can do a quick silhouette overlay. Since we don't have an accurate sense so scale on the covered car, I would do two overlays: one with the wheelbases scaled to match, and one with the rooflines scaled to match.
