Raw large-leafed kale is extremely tough. In addition to its inherent suitability as a header construction material, it also makes excellent seat covers. One need only attempt to actually eat it to recognize its unique properties as a heavy duty construction material.

You're not doing it right. Revolutions are not always cyclical nor regular. When it comes to kale, the only thing that can weaken it is an extremely sharp blade. The frequency is immaterial, and the constant blunt force trauma presented by a header or exhaust manifold is nothing to kale. 100 sespm (single edged slices per minute), sure. 5200 rpm? Kale doesn't care.
