You can download and install the software beforehand. It is useless without your ECUTek USB dongle though. That is the "key" that allows you to use the software.

Also, unrelated, had an STI get after me on the highway for a stretch. He started / ended half a car length ahead. Think it surprised both of us since he almost pulled into me thinking he'd have blown past me. (there were no other cars anywhere in sight btw, it's late here). Something to be said for aerodynamics even though more focus has been on power/weight. We didn't talk before or after so take it with a grain of salt, but I was impressed by the little guy chugging away on E85.
Yesterday a s2000 tried to run me and he was keeping up with me but cudnt pass me...We are reaching about 100mph and this freaking sti with no bumper and this big ass intercooler embarrassed us, i saw him coming from way behind us and i was still WOT and he blew by us like it was nothing...I need more power...e85 intake and exhaust at least lmao...feelings were hurt

Anyone know if the software is compatible on other operating systems besides Windows?

I wanted to get an Android Tablet PC but I don't want to buy one if it can't support the software from ECUtek

Edit: Looked at FAQ on ECUTek website.

"You can use virtually any PC capable of running Windows. The software has been tested with Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7 using both Intel and AMD processors. In comparison to most applications that you would run on a Windows PC, these products consume far less memory and processing power - they have been designed to run efficiently so that you can log information as fast as possible.
The faster your PC, the quicker you can log and graph data. The more memory and disk space you have, the more data you can log, and for a longer period."

A Tuning question

Good morning John
I realize you are extremely busy. If anyone else can answer these questions and not waste Johns time, I'd appreciate it.
I believe I read somewhere that you ordered or received an Airaid intake.
Have you had time to review data from the Airaid intake you received?
Does it flow significantly better than stock?
Does the STG1 93 Octane Flash for Automatic Transmissions remove the top speed limiter?
Has anyone with an Automatic Flash suddenly have a random "bog issue" ?
My daughter reported it to me, it happened once when the engine was cold leaving a parking lot, I can't verify it, I don't drive the car.
Thank you for your time and your support.

Damn to go from 32-36mpg to 18mpg hurts a little..granted e85 is about is 3.47 its still a big stretch ...guess it'll be fun to run a few times here and there...what was the total amount of miles u were able to get out of a tank of e85...Just curious

Hey - The Airaid intake came in on Thursday of last week but I haven't had the chance to work with it.

If today goes smoothly I plan on working on it.

Yes speed limiters should be removed on the tune file.

I can send you a updated revision of the tune if you would like.

Do you have a intake on the car?

John

I prob should have mentioned that in this post, was getting around 25 mpg on the pumpgas for context so that's 70-72% of that on E85. Have around 11 gals to low fuel light coming on so for me around 200. I'm also not on the highway much except in traffic. Will be higher for most, think that 70-72% figure is prob more relevant.

oo okay...for mostly city driving i can accept that...so im guessing highway driving with a couple of pulls here and there i'll guess around 23-24mpg mixed which i can accept. Once i get e-85 ill do some normal driving with a few pulls here and there see what gas mileage i get
