FT-S = Front Transverse - 'Sport'? That would be the tC.

Fr-s sounds ok. Didn't the ft stand for future Toyota, can't imagine they'd keep that after it comes out. maybe ct-s lol, "current Toyota-sport"

LOL! It works, but Cadillac would definitely have something to say about that.

Technically it changed from LF-A, to LFA.

I think the meanings changed too. (anyone confirm this?)

Lexus Future - A (something?)

to:

Lexus Fuji Apex.

I might be wrong but last i remember the F stands for Fuji only for the meaning behind the F-Marque Performance line, not necessarily for the F in LFA, i think that was Le Finesse something

You're wrong. F stands for Fuji. You can go to Lexus website, they put LFA in the F performance line. Like Dimman said, LFA stands for Lexus Fuji Apex.

Like i said...i could be wrong. Last time Lexus was talking about F for Fuji was when someone asked them "why F line". The LFA never stood for Lexus Future btw, it was Le Finesse i remember that

LF-A is Lexus Future (or at least it is the convention these days). When they take the dash away it changes.

Never heard anything about Le Finesse. And if it's proper French it should be La Finesse, (unless it's a guy driver's nickname?).

I've got a bunch of old posts/rants about how Lexus jacked this car from Toyota (much like Scion seems to be doing with the FT86) to try to jump on the F1 bandwagon instead of it being an aluminum-chassis Supra with a 2UR-GSE to compete with the GT-R. A lot of opinion but also some good circumstantial evidence...

Why, Toyota, why???

Lexus's design language is called L-Finesse. They use it on every concept now. People might call LF-Gh (new GS) Lexus Future Grand-touring Sedan Hybrid, but the LF here stand for L-Finesse.
