It looks like a street car, but good luck not getting pulled over in that. I used to see the car at the track somewhat regularly, but I haven't seen it actually run in a while. I know Crawford's suffered multiple blown engines across several BRZs. |

What. The. ****. All hope for me is lost now, I had dreams of building a track RSTI. Not to say I can't anymore, but that's just, depressing

You can still get Cosworth parts, but just not directly, iirc. I may be wrong; I don't follow STI stuff too closely anymore.

To be fair, both of these cars are so highly modded that, atleast with my driving record I would be arrested (mind you arrested) outside of my driveway

I don't fallow STI stuff much anymore either, I've just had a replica 22b in my head before I even knew about the 86 platform

I know Crawford has gone through some motors. As to be expected from developing, no? But it seems like they've finally got it right with their new longer rod setup from what I've been hearing.

Lots of turbo kits run a scavenging pump. Do your research about it and make your mind on whether you are willing to run it or not.

Lol no no, I realize that. I was wondering if P-Tuning's pump was electrical or mechanical.

Still, slapping a turbo kit on it to gain +100 modest whp seems to (generally) be sound besides defective piston heads and rods in the occasional failure in an engine, which I'm sure the F20/22 have had

sorry guys, got off topic.
FBM or AVO kit if you want to stay within the 5-6k budget. If you don't mind spending a little more, than P-Tuning. Although my vote is now for P-Tuning, since P-Tuning uses the GT30, only 6 psi pushes 290+whp

Please take this as mainly speculation but I think in order for something like that to happen, i.e. defective piston heads and rods in the occasional failure of an engine, you would need to be pushing over 300 whp with a non-sound tune and weak supporting mods. Otherwise, why would any of these vendors sell a stage 1 base kit? I assume these vendors understand that someone buying a stage 1 base kit is likely keeping majority of the car stock while looking to increase whp by 75-100 right?
If there was a unique situation where there was defective piston heads and rods, wouldn't the car show problems in its NA form before hitting FI, or will FI reveal weaknesses by itself where NA can't? (hopefully that made sense lol) |

My vote is still supercharger. It's simple and sustainable.
OT: rods being thrown in the F2xC is from a bad tune. |
