Is there a difference from the LED flasher that comes with the Buddy Club vs. the one I have now from Diode Dynamics?

I heard the one that comes with tail lights seems to have a lag issue. Like, the actual lights start to signal after about a 1 second delay after you turn the signal stalk inside. That's what I read about the Tom's flasher though. They had better luck with the Diode Dynamics flasher.

Mine doesn't delay when you turn it on, but when you finish the turn and the signal clicker (not sure what that is called) comes back up I have about a 1 second delay on it going off.

@GuerillaRacing Thanks for the lights, they look great! I just wanted to give you a head's up...not sure if there is anyway to ship these lights via USPS to your Canadian customers as UPS is the biggest piece of crap ever. Charged me $96 for brokerage fees.

Damn it! I'm in Calgary too and mine are being shipped through UPS as well!!
Although there is a way to not pay that fees or at least significantly reduce it at least.

P.S. are you in the 403 Scion group?

Expect the same or similar charges. Got to be careful who and where we buy from including what shipping method is used. UPS of course being the worst of all...

Well like I said, there's a way do avoid that fee. I'll probably use that method and not pay anything those greedy UPS guys.

No, but I will sign up. You will have to let me know how to reduce these costs!

Yeah, that is usually the first thing I ask. If the vendor ships UPS, I am out and look around for someone who will ship USPS. I guess I was blinded by the lights this time... At least this leaves a bad enough taste in my mouth again that I won't forget for a while.

Cool, let me know when you join the 403 Scions group. I'm Karan on there.
Anyway, apparently, to avoid those charges, all you have to do is clear the customs yourself.

So when they attempt delivery, just refuse it and tell them you'll clear the customs yourself and tell them to hold it at their warehouse and they'll give you a little delivery sticker.

Then you call UPS and ask them to send you the commercial invoice for your package by email or fax or whatever (they'll need your tracking number for this) and it's usually sent by email or fax within minutes.

Then you go to the Canadian Border Services office near the airport (also near the UPS warehouse) with your delivery sticker from UPS AND the commercial invoice, and tell them you'd like to clear the customs yourself. They'll give you a B15 form and ask you to pay a little fee for clearing customs, and they'll stamp your B15 form.

Take the B15 form to the UPS warehouse (pretty close to the Border Services office) and they'll give you your package without any additional fee.

Someone in Calgary had about $70 in brokerage/customs fee from UPS and they used this method. The Canadian Border Services only charged him $9 for cleaning customs and he got his package without paying anything else.
