I hope Killzone tightens up their controls. 2 was completely unplayable to me and while 3 was better it was a long ways away from what I would call "good" or "smooth" or "easy to aim quickly and precisely."

I'm so terrible at shooters with controllers that I probably wouldn't notice.

My biggest problem is I jumped to console shooters in 2005 with CoD2 (the game that, along with Project Gotham Racing) convinced me to get a 360. At least the Infinity Ward versions of CoD have always had lighting quick and accurate contols with smooth, fluid, high frame rates. It's tough for me to play other shooters as well because that's what I'm used to. Closest I got to really embracing another is Rainbow Six Vegas, which had a completely different gameplay style.

Almost all of my gaming is shooters and racers. A few adventure platformers, but mostly shooters.

Probably the biggest reason I'm excited for Titanfall is that other than just looking amazing, it's made by the same people who molded my console shooter playstyle.

So, the X1 might be getting Family Share after all! They just can't do everything at once so they will be updating and adding more features as choices once the X1 is out. Sounds like we will have the best of both worlds, digital and physical games and such with no limits. oorah

That's great news! I assume it's a logistical nightmare to get everything to work without a persistent internet connection, but hopefully features will trickle back in. Seems like MS got the message and are adapting quickly before launch. With an even playing field, things may not be as "land sliding" as people think on launch day. At the end of the day, the act of gaming is virtually equal between the two. It will be the "what else can you do" that drives mass sales, and quality of online network that pushes longevity.

The 8th gen of console wars aren't even started yet as there are no products on shelves yet... we will declare a winner after the 9th gen is in or at least on the way.
But I can say Sony has the pre orders but no one knows the exact figures yet though so its too early to say!

Not really because Sony kicked M$'s ass all day with ps2 even though the Xbox was the superior system.

I still laugh to this day trophies. About how 360 had them a year beforehand and Sony took an additional year and a bit on top of that before taking the idea and half-assing it into their older titles.

It really seems like everyone jumped on the "WE NEED ACHIEVEMENTS/TROPHIES" thing. I don't care most of the time, although sometimes I'll go through and say "huh, I haven't tried that" and it gives me an idea for something new to do. Others use it to bolster their e-peens and argue that they're superior because they have more points. Some do it for completion's sake. But I think they'll probably be everywhere going forward. MMOs especially, since that gives even more drive to play the neverending game.
