Actually, this supercharger should be much lighter then HKS on, it just have the top part without any pipping. what you see is where the weight is.

With the engine having a 12.5 compression ratio I'd be worried about blowing shit up. Would need a serious warranty. Imagine there would have to be major ECM changes and how many Scion techs would actually know what they're doing? Would be seriously cool!

I know that is more than likely a pipe dream, but it certainly isnt asking too much.
It will more than likely be RIDICULOUSLY expensive for the sole reason that toyota knows people will pay for it even if it is 10k
Sooo true, people are going to buy it just because it is TRD. If it is over 4k I am just going to go all out and turbo mine.

You are aware that there are stock motor turbo ones out there pushing 500+whp right? This racing series only allows so much HP in the classes anyway.

I doubt he/she does.

You should checkout the Forced Induction area.

To be fair, we don't know how long the engine will last until they start popping, but if it will hold 500+whp for any amount of time, makes things look good for the mild kits.

The amount of over-engineer on this car seems to be of standard japanese quality (as in good). So a turbo/supercharger should do quite well in the long run.

Unlike some other manufacturers *cough cough mustang V6 driveshafts

Those that are worried about the 12.5:1 CR shouldn't be. That what the stock Ford Contour SVT 2.5L Duratec was running. They boosted them to 350HP on stock internals and were only 220HP stock. Having it fully intercooled will make it very safe.

I just can image how insane that thing would look fully polished.

It's awesome that they chose the TVS series. They are really efficient and have a big power range. For instance, the TVS900 has a max flow of 1000m^3/hr or about 406HP. It's a bit on the small side but it's still be perfect because that's almost exactly what our cars would make on 14.7psi of boost.

I doubt it, but if they went with the TVS1320, then we'd see a max flow of 1400m^3/hr which equals a max of 568HP. That'd be nuckin' futz. We'd have to have forged everything and a 8.5:1 CR because that much flow would mean we'd be at 29psi of boost.

I wouldn't go that far. There are have been just as many F/I options for the 2az if not more.

True, but I was thinking more about options/total time released.

Granted there will be a slow down at some point, but it seems like EVERY noteworthy shop is making a F/I kit for this car.
