Check engine light status? Did you do any supporting mods? and does it bolt right in or did you have to do any custom fiddling with pipes to make this work?

I'd very much like to do the headers and axle-back just to get the sound, and drop the mid pipe and such in at a later date maybe. Too much cash right now, of course. Stupid Christmas, making me spend it on others :P

Like with most cars if you get rid of the CAT in front of the O2 sensor you will get a CEL unless you apply a mechanical fix to move the sensor back out and "trick" it, or apply an electronic fix through the ECU to ignore the emissions CEL. We have not had this header yet on our car but are looking to do so VERY soon, and we can provide more information then, but I see a mechanical fix being needed at this time to stop a possible CEL.

You cannot remove emissions control devices before the sensors and not expect a CEL, it will happen.

This isn't a mod for everyone. This item is perfect for someone building a N/A track car or someone that is okay with CEL issues/fixes, along with taking full responsibility for the emissions side of things.

A header with a CAT will more than likely be developed by other manufactures. It will take a lot longer though for those to appear on the market as R&D is much more involved and costs would be close to double what you see here on this guy. Also HP/TQ gains will not be as large with a restrictive CAT in the header.

Cliff Notes:
Worried about warranty, cops, and emissions laws? Keep the stock header in place.

From what I hear, the stock header isn't a bad one to begin with, right?

That is really the deal. I want sound and if I pick up power that is great. The emission stations seem pretty laid back so I'm not to worried.

I have a Toyota...
But it has a Boxer, and I like the customary boxer rumble.

No drone when I had just the cat-back and no drone with the UEL headers and stock mid pipe.

I did get a CEL for two days then it turned off. I assume its from not having the first cat but wont know for sure until I pull the code.

In terms of supporting power mods I only have the headers and cat-back, running stock mid-pipe w/cat, not intake etc.

All Borla pieces fit right up to stock. Basically you can mix and match all you want.

Here are some reasons according to Super Sprint that makes their own catless EL Header as to why there is a CEL. I plan on getting a guide from them with some pics if they will supply it to me.

*TO AVOID CEL ERROR:
-The secondary O2 sensor wire must be extended to connect after the cat. A full guide to this procedure is available.
Alternative solutions:
- Deactivation of the secondary O2 sensor through ECU reflash
- Mini-cat (connected between the sensor and the bung on the headers)

So, can I just have a reflash done? I'm gonna want one done once I put on the header/exhaust anyway.
