If ever i get a 235/40 on a 18x9.5 rim, where will it rub? on the fender or the fender liner? would Rolling the fender solve this problem in front?

I think both will rub. Depends on your suspension. Mine would rub at full lock and when it bounces cuz im on springs.

Would 245/35 be better since it's a smaller diameter? And do you run 235/40?

35 should clear. I run 235 40 in the rear, 215 40 fronts

Because i don't want to have stretched tire, if ever the cops arrest me i need to be on the legal side so that's why i ask about 235/40, 245/35 could be an interesting choice but way pricey...

If you run 35, 245 should clear. Play with the tire calculator in one of the other posts and see
