Maybe I'll stop by Perrin sometime to take a look since it's basically across the street from my work.

The reason I like the spoiler's design is because it looks relatively simple/minimalistic.

Slapping what looks like an extension with an extra wide branded base just completely loses it for me.
Mine also won't come with any logos

If you can get more pics or ask if they're interested in buying my CAD files...

Do you see any obvious aero issues with my piece?

Here are some more installation pics! Ignore the fitment issues as I didn't attach the factory green clips for this round of test fitting. However, it's pretty clear that once those are installed, it'll sit perfectly flush!

One thing I'm debating is whether or not the spoiler is pushed too far back, and if I should move it a little closer... Maybe 20mm closer to the car?

Also got a quote for printing the part which was more than I was expecting. However, I just figured out another approach that's more cost effective, stronger and looks exactly the same. More about that soon...

I -believe- that in general, having the spoiler sit further back is actually "better" for aero. So I wouldn't move it forward. If there is to be any benefit to aero from this piece, moving the OE spoiler backward is likely to be a factor.

I believe I've heard this too.. I was thinking of moving it forward so that it sits between the stock position and the first prototypes position, which coincidentally is 20mm. So maybe I'll move it forward 15 mm, which is still about 25 mm further back than stock.

Personally I like the look. I definitely would consider buying a completed version if it turned out like the above pictures.

nice job. seems like a cool idea. Personally, I think the car looks better with the wing completely removed. Either way, it's cool that you are executing on your vision.

I just spoke with the CAD designer, and based on our new approach to the project, we might not be able to move it any closer to the car, unless we changed the height of the spoiler. But I love the height of the spoiler in this setup so it'll probably be exactly like the photo above (with better fitment of course )

Ha, that's bc I've been street parking in NYC and people are careless. I only have it out when the car is parked, I put it back in the trunk when I drive.

The front of my car is scratched up and the paint is peeling in certain places because people back into the car when parking. Some guy even parked with his rear bumper still touching my front bumper. I've never hit or bumped anyone, yet this is what happens in NYC.

Things people say when they have never lived in large city where they have to park in the street everywhere and everyday!

People haven't started using those bumper guards in the San Francisco/bay area yet but I'm almost certain some idiot would mess with it/steal it/cut it off one night. It's hard to have nice things with the street parking around here.

Back will help "drive" a rear diffuser, and may get it in cleaner air.

I think it looks great and I'd be in on a set, IF it has an extended center support as well. It has to have it to truly look like a factory piece IMO. If it doesn't have that it would be a deal-breaker for me. End pieces look GREAT though. Bravo. Now give us the center support big guy. You can do it!
