I don't mind the front so much right now, just that round rear brake light. Just doesn't look good right now (at least with all the camo on).

It has the same type of super low Euro third brake light that the 370Z has. Hopefully when it gets imported to the states Scion doesn't take the cheap route and just place a black plastic cover over it like Nissan did. Really don't want a 370Zish "butthole" on my FR-S.

Thanks Hachiroku for posting these

I like this car for the engineering philosophy of light weight, rear wheel drive, and interesting NA engine, and therefore i still really like this car.

That being said I hope the styling does change some for the production version. The front and rear are fine for me but the side profile is a little bland, not ugly by any means just not interesting.

I also have to say I would really like them to remove the spoiler and I'd much prefer a functional rear diffuser.

Quick question does anyone know the tire width dimensions on this mule, I've been praying for something at 235mm or greater.

I also did some number crunching and if Toyota/Scion can acomplish these numbers for 25K, the car will be very competitive.
3yr depriciation=8000 3yr fuel costs=5000 3yr insurance=6000
0-60=6.1 1/4=14.8 60-0=110 lat G=.9 Slalom=70

****note: comparisons based off edmunds true cost to own averages stadardized to 32 other comparable cars****

very disappointed the "mouth" is much smaller and they went back to the ugly ass wing. The mirrors are huge. looks like they got rid of the front vent between the bumper and hood. The hood is way bigger. the fenders are smaller.

only thing im happy about is they went back to the round exhaust tips.

It's all depends on which enkei wheels they put. 17x7~8 which means, 215~245... but my bet is on 215/45/17

The more and more I compare this to the MKII, it is EXTREMELY similar if this was a production version. This is not the MKIII, nor do I think it was intended to be it. Toyota didn't take a step backward, they just tried to replicate the MKII concept. Other than the ugly tail lights, they were pretty darn close.

$2000 a year is reasonable if you're a single male under 26. Way to early to even think about that though.

I am a male, but not under 26. That is more expensive than a 2008 911 GT3 that I got a quote on. That came out to ~$90-100/month with full coverage.

Way to early to even think about that? Tell that to cogito. I was just responding to his speculation.

The Five Axis Scion FR-S had everybody expecting a semi exotic, but
if these spy shots had surfaced just after geneva the responses would have been completely diferent because the spy car is just a camoed up MKII. No big deal for me I liked the MKII and so did a lot of other people that voted in the poll MKI vs MKII.
