I would never pay that much for 3 batteries, half a turbo and a motor.
same reason why Vortech SC price pisses me off, they thing is half a turbo with an IC and it costs $5k.

We'll wait and see what happens, it's not worth getting my blood boiling over prices right now.

can't wait to see dyno numbers.
Fenton are you planning on doing a baseline run? fully stock?
It's hard to judge based off a stage 1 car.

Yea well based of what Fenton said, maybe the price is not what I think. I agreed with you at first but realistically thinking these guys are based out of Cgy and doing all there own R&D, so price is gonna be more than what we all like but since there local to me I would also support them for that reason.

Will see how it goes, still cool none the less!!!!

i'm just thinking of how awesome a homebrew version of this, with a rotrex powered by maybe an array of 3 r/c heli motors (at 11hp each) could be. building your own circuit and using your own motors/gearing/compressor would make for some crazy fun experimentation. you could have an arduino or similar map compressor rpm to engine rpm or manifold pressure. the possibilities are endless lol.

Some info i got from the site: I believe this kit is in the $1300 range. As well it's the charge that doesn't last, with an 8:1 ratio for charge:boost. So if you continuously boost for 1 minute, it will take roughly 8 to recharge that amount.

Very interested, and I love the idea but from the sounds of it the price will be way to high for the benefit. But I'll keep watching, maybe the dyno will be more impressive then I'm expecting.

It seems like the Unichip Q+ would be a great combo for tuning this so it could activate other then just at WOT.

An arduino could definitely read the accelerator pot and PWM to an ESC (or several ESCs) for part-throttle, and/or read from the factory MAP for boost control..ooh also since an electric motor has instant torque, it could could also control a variable-vane cold side to make motor RPM less of a factor...but that's a bit exotic. It could also be used for the DC readout from the batteries as well as prohibit use if the batteries are too low. Ok, I'll shut up now.

it's amazing what can be done these days with off the shelf parts and a bit of googling. i'm using an arduino (and raspberry pi) for my cloud-connected datalogger

Well guys color me impressed, very impressed. What i just witnessed, the stock car would NEVER have a hope in hell in doing.

Scenario:

Pull up to 4 way stop, gentle start while feathering the clutch at about 1500rpm(little aggresive), as clutch is reaching full engagement WOT.... Supercharger kits on full at about 2400 and the tires actually begin letting go. They chirped as my car accelerated past 4000 rpm where i regained 100 percent traction.

Please note i did not drop the clutch in any way, just rolled on the throttle and as full engagment came called for some boost.

The thing just took off, no torque dip here fellas.

Given that i think we are in for some interesting bottom end results, i dont think 180tq or even more is out of the question at about 3000 rpm before the dip hits.

We relocated the controller box today, really clean looking setup now. Ill upload a pic soon

So they took the leaf blower idea replaced the gas engine with an electric one and made it look good.
