That's what I figured, and I doubt anyone would protest me. I've trophied but never won class. Lots of talent in San Diego.

Pretty sure any grade 10.9 flange bolt would suffice, as that is all Toyota is selling you.
Personally, I very briefly considered a trip to the hardware store but I decided I wasn't going to chance it over an $8 bolt. The upshot is I know for a fact the bolt is the right grade and has an appropriate flange and shank.

Well, there actually is a reason you can't just use any old 14mm bolt in Street. It does need to be the part number called out in the service manual.

Who would protest you? Not sure. But, the burden of proof in a protest situation isn't on the person protesting, it's on the person being protested. The person protesting needs to only accuse and post a fee.

The correct bolts are $6.33 each from oemautopartz.

Here's my fastest run from this Sunday at El Toro.. 60.925. 8th place in S2. This is my 4th autox and I was only .8 seconds off of 3rd place so I'm happy with it.

Holy cow man! Your lines definitely look better than mine!
I'm toast once you add camber bolts and front sway bar...

And gratz to Mike for the incredible final run to end up less than 0.25 sec behind Jeff's 370Z!

My best Saturday Run at the Peru Match Tour... ended the day about 0.12 behind Chris Harvey, 0.15 behind Scott in the 350Z and an almost embarrassing 0.8 behind Grogan, great driving this weekend Sean!

This is the first time I really got video and data sync'd up like this and have really been able to analyze the feedback from the car and tires with what is actually happening... very powerful tool, already see LOTS of areas where I can improve. Data is from a DL1 exported to CSV format and sync'd with go-pro footage using race render 3.

this is a local event, scored 1st in class and 12th raw out of 88 people. (they don't do pax)

I've dialed out oversteer and now kind of miss it, as WOT/lifting does nothing

I totally agree. I've learned more watching videos in between runs than I have anywhere else.

The strip charts look useful on the video too. I didn't realize RR3 could do that. Guess I need to look into it more.

Cheers,

I am working towards doing some data acquisition finally, I notice DL1 is pretty popular, is anyone using SoloStorm?

Looks tight! You guys have 88 people and you don't calculate PAX? We only average 45 people per event and even we do PAX.

this particular series does not use SCCA classing and rules, it's effectively the beer-league of autocross. Only 9 classes but very tight competition.

but because half the people also do our regionals (which does follow SCCA rules) then i can just keep track of our relative performances to one another.

sometimes we have 100+ attendance days.

Thanks Tim. I thought your car drove really well in fun runs...I liked the turn-in feel of the dunlops quite a bit. While the Rivals felt more vague on turn in, the ultimate mid-corner grip still seemed to be quite good though. Your EBC yellow pads seem to have more initial bite than my Stoptech pads, but I haven't decided if that's a good or a bad thing yet. The 235 square setup felt better in the tight turn around, but not as stable in the slaloms. I took a significantly different approach to that long 270 degree right hand sweeper. I'll have my video uploaded to my build thread later tonight most likely.

sad thing is i didn't record my fastest run

i will post up my second fastest run, but with a cone.

this course definitely favored our cars compared to jeff, but jeff in the end was able to come out with the win

What are you C Street guys running for alignment?

Getting the crash bolts in this weekend hopefully and may take it to the alignment shop next week to dial everything in.
