Was thinking of the current ND Miata my bad. Wasn't that Mazdaspeed Miata the slowest one of all? |

Not even remotely.
enough with the turbo talk. if a tiny company like Mazda can offer 2 engines in it's sports car AND bump up it's power by almost 25% (without a turbo) then asking Subaru to squeeze another 20-30 hp from it's FA20 isn't being too greedy.

Miata's build quality is superior too. Toyobaru has a lot to catch up on.

I'm aware it's not exactly the same thing but it's certainly feasible and well within Subaru's resources. To a degree the emissions excuse is just a cop out.

Id rather Subaru try to reduce weight while sticking with the 205hp engine. I don't think it would be hard for them to reach 2,6XXlbs, but instead the car seems to get heavier with every model year.

On the other hand it's not fair to hold the extra 250 lbs against the twins. They come with a roof, 2 extra seats, and a useable trunk. And a gearbox that doesn't eat itself.

Isn't the difference closer to 450lbs? I agree with your point though. The ND doesn't even have a glovebox. Which is fine for a weekend car, not great for a dedicated daily driver.

What do you use a glove box for during the week that you don't need on the weekend?
