I haven't driven my car in 4 days. But car won't start so I think its the battery that's dead.

I personally don't like April fools day because most of these "jokes" are stupid as shit.

If the battery is dead, you should have little or no crank power: that means, the starter will spin veeerrrryyyy slowwwwly. For that, you either need to find someone with a booster cable to start your car, or yank out the battery and place a new one in.

Did you leave a light or some sort on during the last four days? I would imagine given the weather in SoCal, the batter should not die that quickly.

On the other hand, if the starter is happily spinning but the engine won't start, you might have a bigger problem, or someone is pulling tricks on you.

I realized that my boot/trunk door wasn't fully closed all the way... it was left like that for about 3-4 days. I think that might've drained my battery.

I'm hearing it go clack clack clack. And then rapid clacks when I hold the ignition to start.

Hmmm.. maybe the batter is not completely dead, but just not enough cranking power. I am guessing the start motor simply cannot turn the engine over.

Got to find someone with a car and jump cable. Did you park your car nose in? If so, there might be an issue to jump-start the car.

If it's a standard, can you get it rolling and jump start it? This works going backwards to, so long as you use reverse.

Neutral push or park a car next to it at an angle...done both. Pop starting is also an option if stick.

Yea I did park it nose in. I don't think it'll be too bad since my driveway can easily fit... 4 American cars. lol

I thought about doing that but I was scared if I put it in N and just roll it backwards.. I won't get it back up onto the driveway if it fails. LOL

Actually I was thinking if you park nose-in into the garage. If it is on the driveway, that is ok. As Orbit said, there are many ways to do this.

Speaking of push start, only done this with motocycle but not car. IIRC, since you park the car nose in, if your driveway is going down going out, you would put in *reverse*, press the clutch, release the brake to let it roll with a speed, then release the clutch suddenly to crank the engine for start. That said, you need to watch the traffic first and secondly there is a potential that your car will not be back up. You will need to push it to park at the road side.

Still no joy on finding the one with jump cable, eh?
