Howdy all,
I have a few items in life that have to work themselves out before I purchase but I WILL own one of these cars. I was exposed to the AE-86 through Initial D Anime and Manga and love everything about the idea behind this ride. 5hairpins |

hello,
I'm a guy who has been riding bicycle for ages just to save money on this car. No joke.. Finally I put some deposits to reserve mine. Assuming this is my car, and no driving experience. Hopefully, I don't burn the clutch prematurely ;p |

Hello all! Been interested in the ft86 since the concept and have been following it. Finally its going to be released soon and Im waiting to see how the industry and consumers react to it. I honestly think this car will help revitalize our sport as there hasnt been any really exciting new cars in awhile. May purchase one within a year.

Greetings from the "live free or die state". I have a car pre-ordered and will promptly take it to the first NASA NE event available to explore it's limits ! I'm a WRX guy and track junkie from way back, having run Subarus in TT for 6 years and raced a couple of seasons in spec944 w/NASARM. I think the BRZ will bear some similarities to the 944 in terms of balance and track manners. Can't wait to drive !
BTW, Subaru of Keene will have a car in person Sat 3/17 |

Hi everyone, I just registered with your forum. I can’t believe how much information it contains! It will take me weeks to read it. I currently drive a 2007 Honda Accord SedanV6-6MT. My youngest daughter will start college this fall and my need for a car with larger comfy back seat no longer exists. (Also, my wife will always have her SUV.) But with my other daughter also in college (both in private schools), money is tight and I am so happy Toyota and Subaru have combined forces to produce an awesome enthusiast’s car in this price range. In so many ways the FR-S and BRZ epitomize the concept that less is definitely more. Unfortunately, I am one of those who won’t pull the trigger until after I’ve driven both models to determine if I like one more than the other. So sadly it will be many months before I buy one, but look forward to reading all the discussions and research provided in your forum.

Just wanted to check in and say "Hi". I'm not claiming any seniority with this next one but I just wanted to I introduce myself to the forums.
My name is Ken and I've been following this car since its 7tune days when the idea for the platform was a little more than a whisper in the wind. I was actually following Nissan's RWD sport coupe concept until they caught wind of a Toyota/Subaru joint RWD sports car. That's when the wait started...and let me tell ya, it's been a long and painful wait!! I'm actually quite torn between a new BRZ or a very tempting, used G37 but I figured I can have my cake and eat it too by buying a BRZ and trading it in later if I find it "insufficient". But that's another story for another time and a path I would rather not go down. Why? Well, honestly, I didn't wait for the car to make it to reality just so I can trade it in. Like many of you, I crave this car for its sporty attitude and no-compromise design. I expect no less but I wouldn't mind a little more. But that's what the aftermarket is for and I intend to take full advantage of that on this new platform! Anyway, sorry for the long read. "Hi and hello!":happy0180: |

Well my name is Andrew, I drive a v6 2004 Solara and I wish it was a lot faster with significantly better handling. I enjoy cars and unfortunately have no friends or family that are into cars. Everything I know about cars I have taught myself often learning by mistake. I love go kart racing as well as surfing, anything that is on the edge of control and is relatively safe. I live in the OC in S. Cali and would like to eventually go to some meet ups or other FR-S/BRZ related events.

Hi.
In recent history, I've owned a Miata SE, a couple of RX8's, and now a GTO. Although the GTO has taught me all about oversteer and has been a comfortable, powerful, and rock solid car, I'm yearning to get back into something that handles as well as the RX8 in a 2+2 config for my two elementary school aged kids, but with a healthy dash of reliability and reasonable cost of mods. I think the BRZ fits those criteria, and would be a nice match for my lifestyle. On the flip side (think "Evil YaX" with pitchfork), Im also strongly considering a Vette, as the prices on used LS3 C6's continue to plummet. In any case, I've daily driven all of my sports cars. I can't imagine not enjoying them every single day, and since I live in an area of Texas with some amazing twisty backroads (even on my commute to work), it's an opportunity I'll continue to take advantage of. |

Oh yeah... I'm kind of a jerk on car forums, like to argue aimlessly about certain topics, and respond with ridiculous animated gifs or youtube videos half the time.
Don't take me seriously, but randomly I might post something worthwhile. |

GT 86
Hello everyone. I'm new on here. I live in the UK and own an AE 86 Corolla GT. I saw on here that a new american version is around $18000. They are not due out here until June apparently. The guide price for a british one is £25000. Unfortunately that's way out of my price range so I'll have to wait a few years to get a second hand one.

Hey guys, long time lurker here. Just wanted to say hello from New Orleans. I found out about the the BRZ/FR-S when my first car died 4 months ago. RIP 1996 4dr Integra LS. The only reason I can wait so long without a car is that I can walk two blocks to work. Other than that I'm glad to have stumbled upon this community to sate my hunger for more info on the upcoming cars

Hi all, I've been lurking in the Subaru BRZ forum for a while, starting when I put a deposit down on a BRZ. I really enjoy my current car (Altima 3.5SL) and I think the BRZ/FR-S meets all my "wants" for a new DD. Just thought I'd say hello!

Hi, guess I should introduce myself. My name is Minh and I am from Atlanta, Georgia. I currently drive a 1991 Nissan 240sx. I mainly got interested in the Toyota GT-86/Scion FR-S after seeing some drift videos from Ken Gushi and other japanese drifters. I thought the car looked awesome and was everything I was looking for in a new car. Cheap, RWD, Light Weight, LSD which equals to a great handling drift car. I've already put a security deposit for an FR-S and can't wait to drive one soon. I saw the suburu twin version at the Atlanta Auto Show and it only increased my desire to own this car!

Ordered BRZ
Hey everyone. My name is Mark from So Cal. My list of vehicles is allover the place from old VW's to off-road trucks and motorcycles. Currently my DD and autocross car is a 92 Integra GSR. As a suspension nut, what has been disappointing in production cars as of late has been the ever increasing vehicle weights and lack of handling. Styling and ergonomics have taken a back seat to boxy, clumsy, heavy cars. The FRS/BRZ seems to be heading in the right direction for power/weight and design. The hi revving engines are coming back, and will be a blast to drive. I haven't gotten to drive the car yet, but have sat in a FRS. The ergonomics and feel of the car bring me back to what love about the old Hondas, low dash, everything within reach, more at one with the car. Can't wait for mine to arrive, as long as they keep the pricing right.
