The darker Silver on the configurator looks amazing with the black accents. I actually really liked the sti front lip on the previous brz's and was planning to get one, not sure about this one. There are too many sharp angles on it, what do you guys think?

That's exactly what I was thinking! It looks far more premium than the generic shade of silver they chose. I got to test drive a silver '16, and while it was a gorgeous car that was incredibly exciting, the colour really didn't do much for it.

I still think the current silver looks amazing compared to other silvers on other cars(it has a hint of blue to it). But just saying if it was a tad darker it would be even better haha. Silver/white just contrasts with black so well. Too bad I went for a wrb haha.

In don't think you can go wrong with the official color of Subaru, the current WRB looks deeper and nicer than the one that came out in 2012 good choice.

I also think that the CWP looks the best. It's not the color that make the difference, but the body lines of the car. The specific color just helps to show off these details. I have seen some other darker colors (black and lava) and it seemed that the car was somehow downgraded. It looked cheaper.

Interesting. To me black is the one to choose if you want to see all the lines. When I see a black twin on the road, I can see every single reflection and line since they look SUPER shiny, but can't say the same on white/silver/maybe even blue. But of course the car has to be somewhat clean. White pops when it starts to get dark.

It's not just the lines but also all the accents that get washed out and blend in with the color. The grill, fog lights and car all look like one giant mass.

This was exciting to finally see the updates and accessories added to the website. Can't believe how amazing the regular silver looks on that 360 view. I had to go back to the 2016 version and look at the current ISM and it appears they made the silver slightly darker...I'm not sure if it's just because it's a digital image or if that's how the new ISM will officially be, but I like how it looks close to a gun-metal color.

As far as the accessories go, looks like I'm giving my dealer a call today and ordering me the full STi lip kit. I really like the angles on the front lip. The sides and rear appear to be the same along with the diffuser. I'm glad they still kept the STi alloy wheels as an option since I prefer those over the PP wheels. This definitely will keep me satisfied with the overall package I'm getting when the '17 comes next month.

You should keep it OEM like that forever if you can! Looks perfect. My is all OEM from exterior also apart from the TRD wing.
I never knew about the OEM spoiler because when I bought mine the dealer never told me that it was an option haha.

But that wheel gap UUUGh. And who puts a BRZ spoiler on a FRS? The BRZ one is designed for AWD for crying out loud.

I know what you mean about looking 'cheaper'; but when i think about it; it's more about whether the car is clean or dirty, and the quality of the aftermarket accessories that influence my perception. here's my own personal take on the colours, that i went through when deciding which one to buy (BRZ colours only):

1. white - definitely shows of details and accents the best, since they're all black. however, i don't think it shows off body lines as well as the darker colours as it's not as 'reflective'. i've also associated the colour white with corporate cars and vans, plus its so common. but, it really does look great and 'high class' when done right.

2. red - sexy sports car colour, but i'm old school and i've always associated red paint with fading on the top surfaces. that might have changed, but i also didn't want to attract so much attention on the road. when it comes to showing off accents and lines, it's about the same as white to me. doesn't always show off the lines as well as a clean, dark car.

3. silver - really nice colour and shows lines (to me) better than white or red. but, a bit boring and neutral.

4. WRB - i think that this is the best balance of showing off accents and lines since it's a 'medium' colour. WRB would probably have been my 2nd choice. i've always thought that WRB is a gorgeous colour.

5. galaxy blue - i'm not a dark blue fan for cars, so i didn't pick that, but it's about on par with DGM as far as showing off details and lines. the black plastic accents tend to blend in unless it's in direct sunlight, but a clean car really shows off the subtle lines very well.

6. DGM - same issue as the galaxy blue. shows off the lines really well; but not enough contrast with the black plastic to show them off unless under bright sunlight. however, they don't disappear completely like on a black car. i picked DGM as my first choice because it was a more subtle colour (which fit my personality), i feel that it's a more 'mature' colour (which is what i wanted), and i've always thought of dark grey to be a 'classy' colour. again, this is all just in my head. looks black at night, but definitely reflects differently under headlights.

8. black - i've owned a black car before and i will never own another one again. great looking when clean, but looks bad faster than the lighter colours with the same amount of dust. no contrast with the black plastic accents but shows off the lines very well. maintaining a black car was a no-go from the start for me.

If i bought another BRZ, it'd probably be WRB just for a change. but i'm happy with DGM. again, whether a car looks 'downgraded' or 'classy' depends a lot on how clean its kept and the taste of the aftermarket accessories installed.

Dunno if you've seen me post elsewhere but I'm pretty much done with the car and love it as is. I even considered a lip but stopped caring. Only thing I added was exhaust and taillights (and very minor interior goodies to make the car feel like mine). If I can land a higher paying job or promotion, then I *might* pull the trigger on the RCE Yellows.

HEY! Remember our convo last year about me turning the car into an orange BRZ and trolling dealerships? That's why I added the BRZ spoiler.

I just... stopped... 10% through the process. Yeah thats what happened!
