Sup guys. Just placed a deposit for our car last week at Longo Scion in So Cal. We ordered two cars. One for our shop car and one for daily use. We are planning on becoming a vendor later this year.

Joined a few days ago, on the waiting list at a local dealer to get an order in. Whiteout, 6MT. My company runs a few online parts retailers and we are in the process of putting together a store for GT86/FR-S/BRZ performance parts. I'm very passionate about this car so I figure why not spread the wealth and help the community by extending our great customer service and expertise to this new platform. We have a great relationship with most parts companies so it seemed like a perfect fit for us to get into the scene.

I will be daily driving the car as well as using the car for marketing purposes ie. installing as many parts as possible, doing reviews on them. I'm a huge driving enthusiast and I love getting my hands dirty with the mechanicals as well as driving the car to it's limit. (on track obviously) Been obsessed with this car since it was announced almost 3 years ago, been waiting for the perfect enthusiasts car for awhile now and I feel like we have our answer. Thank you Toyota/Subaru! Now to just wait...I'm not very patient!

Have been lurking for a while, just joined because I put down a deposit on a Subaru BRZ today. I've had a lot of nice cars in the past, and I hope this one is what it is supposed to be... then I'll enjoy it for a long time to come. Thanks for the forum, it has been quite helpful in the waiting / decision making / ordering process.

I'm getting the Asphalt FR-S for a daily driver. I have to go with a auto. How is the Auto? Really.
I work 12 hour days and I'm on my feet all day. At the end of the day my shifts suck in my manual v6 4x4 tacoma. As I'm getting older and a previous broken left ankle my shifts suck when I'm tired. I also drive an auto 1989 Corolla for better gas milage and it is much easier at the end of the day. The FR-S is replacing the Corolla. The 2000 Tacoma is my 4x4 camping truck and I'm keeping that.

Thought I'd say howdy to everyone here. Just like all of you, I am waiting for the release of this car. Depending on the initial price of the 86 here in Australia, I might buy it brand new or wait for a bit longer and get it cheaper. Nevertheless, I am very keen!

Hi!

Hello from New Hampshire. Been lurking for a bit, thinking ill be down at my local Scion dealer this weekend to put my name on a waiting list. Going to be hard to get rid of my baby and technically switching from Subaru but well worth it me thinks.

Hi, New from the Bay Area, California. I've been waiting for this car since most of you guys, when the FT86 concept was released in 2009. I'm so excited that the release is nearby, I can't wait to see it on the road.

Mileage

I have really done my homework. But when it comes to the mileage, there is little information. I have heard 30MPG up to 37MPG. I know this is the car I would like to drive, but with other sporty type cars coming in at 40MPG, it makes me stop. I would sure like to know so I can make a decision. I also hear some dealerships are already looking at these cars this month, maybe April. I put a deposit down, very anxious to know mileage so I can move on with or without car! Anybody heard?

I'm a track/HPDE and classic Porsche junkie who loves the visceral feel of the older, classic European cars but has tired of the costs to maintain and own them. The BRZ seemed like such a logical step as I don't drool over professional lap times or horsepower figures but have reached a point in my life where I just want to own and drive problem-free fun cars and unfortunately, most of these either cost a fortune, are FWD, or have power and handling limits that far exceed what is prudent on public roadways. The FT86 is a breath of fresh air.

Hey guys I'm from Florida. Just graduated Automotive School and currently work at a Toyota Dealership (hopefully as a Tech soon). Maybe in the future I can bring some inside Toyota knowledge to the community.

I daily drive an 89' AE92 GTS Coupe and have been keeping track of the FRS for a very long time!

Hello all,
I've been following the ft86 since it popped up in 09. I'm still in college, and I want either a BRZ or an FRS as my first very own car. No other car on the market has captivated me like the ft86 did.

Hi everyone. Dan from Phils. Toyota will release the 86 here in May. Talked with my dealer owner friend and promised me a unit. There will only be 20 units released for the whole country! I hope I get to be one of the owners. (I won't settle for nothing) any color will do as long as I get the first release! I have an automotive shop and this is the first time we will be having a 2 door Toyota released since 76 for the RT 100. This will be a great platform for upgrades from HKS, Greddy, etc. I have KP61 Starlet with 4age, KE25 and EG6. Here's a new video from HKS. http://m.youtube.com/#/watch?desktop...OVjeiCoc&gl=PH
