Seems like it is not much louder from stock, but it definitely is more stronger sounding after 5k rpm. I still have the new oil/dust burning smell from the car but I had a similar smoke/smell right after the cat back install as well.

Install was very simple but the gasket that was supplied with the front pipe did not quite fit the bolt, so I filed it down to make it fit. It is much lighter than the stock front pipe with the cat.

Mid to top end power seemed to increase a bit, and the fact that it has better flow now, has some placebo effect in your mind as well. Love it so far!!

Stock front pipe with Cat:

I just did the same thing to my BRZ, but I'm running the Invidia Q300 with the catless, no res front pipe. I'm lovin' it!

I'm looking to add the HKS resonated mid pipe to my system. Hopefully it works well with the HKS legamax I already have installed as it only had a difference in sound at higher RPMs.

Installed my Perrin non-resonated catback yesterday.

Was the easiest exhaust install I've ever done.. maybe I'm getting better though (especially figuring out those damn exhaust hangers). But I love the way Perrin designed it with the v-band clamps and making the hanger attachments a smaller diameter with little collars that hold the alignment in place (my only gripe is they didn't include a hex-wrench for those little exhaust hanger collars - though they did for my front plate relocation kit).

Sounds great and fills the exhaust cutouts in the back perfectly! Definitely not too loud and no drone.

Braved the 40 degree weather to wash, polish, and wax the car. Now it's WRB again and not dirt-colored. And right as I was finishing up, the UPS guy dropped off my JPM Coachworks stuff. I know what I'm doing tomorrow.

...drove to work today. OK, so normally that's no big deal, but most of the drive was through 3-5 inches of unplowed snow. The back end was definitely a little light, but otherwise no problems with a properly equipped BRZ.

Took it in the begin work of fitting the Rocketbunny fenders. The lip has proved too much work than its worth and the side skirts look like an after thought sadly.

Going to go with the STI front lip and side skirts.

Installed my JPM Coachworks stuff. Can't see the knee pads but they're there too. Installation took a while but nothing was all that difficult, and the monotony of cheap plastic is finally broken up.
