Did you have a heat gun? I hear that works wonders with Vinyl.

hair dryer lol deff helped applying

it was the squeegees we were using, i ordered a couple 4 and 6 inch squeegees with felt tips so it wouldnt damage or scratch the vinyl, sadly USPS lost my package and they never came, so i had some extra small rubber ones laying around, we used water on top to help with application, but it still swirled up the surface

I think it's mostly the lighting haha And I quickly wiped some parts down the other week when I washed the car. It's a DD with the majority being city driving and it's parked underground in my apartment so there's not a lot of dust/gunk buildup.

Well I got it professionally done this time. lol Me and my buddy botched the vinyl wrap the first time we attempted it. It looked smooth and great for the first third of the roof...then it went downhill from there! The second half had little creases and imperfections everywhere. It pretty much looked like a dragon's skin LOL. We pretty much lost all patience and rushed it in the end with the size of the wrap. I'll stick with vinyl wrapping small trim pieces....muuuuch easier.

Nice looks good. How difficult is vinyl wrapping? I want to do my mirrors and fender garnishes too but have never used vinyl before?

It's not very hard once you get use to it. It's tricky the first time since you're getting use to how the material works and adheres to the surface. Luckily you're working with smaller pieces so if you mess it up, it's not a huge waste of vinyl to throw away and redo. You'll need a heat gun to soften and stretch the vinyl so you can wrap it along the curves and a squeegee with a piece of felt on one edge so you won't scratch the vinyl. You can get away with using your hands to smooth the vinyl out since the pieces are fairly small.

The shape of the side mirrors are relatively simple so it's not that difficult. The fender garnish is a bit tricky since you gotta mold it over the emblem and trim off. I cut several slits around the top of emblem so air can be released to wrap the vinyl to the edges of the emblem. I suggest pulling the pieces out to do it on a table to make your life easier.

You could try spray painting those with black color. Better than white.

experimenting with plastiDip

Had some plastDip left over after doing the badges so I decided to paint the bottom of the front bumper under the grille. Love how it looks. Brings out the 'fangs' in the front bumper. Messed it up a little taking the tape off think i might peel it off and redo it(this was my first time trying something like this).

It looks good! I really wanted to try this as well as I have a friend who does plasti-dip as a sidejob. I'm not sure how the gloss black would look against ultramarine but I think I will probably do it before winter anyway and use the excuse that I am saving the paint.
