Am I the only one that will try to fit +25 offset on this car? (18x9 +25)

If it fits without ridiculous camber hell yes.

What this thread has done for me is confirmed what I thought all along, I'm just not a wheel guy. I haven't seen anything here that is "worth the money" to me to switch from the stock wheels.

Not saying its bad if you do, (your car, your money), but I'm not feeling it.

I do get it for racing or some other special purpose but just for a DD, meh.

Look forward to seeing photos of what everyone really does do though.

(As an aside, it must go along with my lack of understanding about athletic shoes that (literally) cost more than my first car. I just don't get how they serve a purpose better than a <$50 pair.)

You might have inner clearance issues with that high an offset on an 8inch wide

Thanks for the heads up. What would be a proper offset for the frs? I cant find measurements for it anywhere. I saw that offset = width - backspace divided by 2.. but what is backspace? For example how did you determine the backspace of the enkei i posted? was it the 50mm inset measurement?

If you like the PF01, I think you'll want the regular PF01 instead of the PF01SS. The regular PF01 comes in the proper bolt pattern for the FRS.

The PF01 in 17x8 comes in two options with the 5x100 bolt pattern, which is what you want for the FRS. There's a +35 inset (or offset) and a +45 inset (or offset). I think either of these MIGHT work. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the +35 will stick out further toward the fender and the +45 will stick in closer to the suspension. So the issue is going to be fender clearance/suspension clearance. If they both clear, it will be a question of looks. It does look like the PF01 comes with a bore diameter of 75, and I THINK the stock one on the FRS is 56. But this can be remedied with some bore adapters (hub centric rings).

Here is the Volk Racing C345 Ultra Light. This looks like 8" wide front and 9" wide back wheels. They both have a 45 offset, so it looks like the Enkeis will fit nice. For the Enkeis, an 8" rear will be tucked in about 13mm for a 45 offset and 3mm for the 35 offset.
