At least toyota/subaru are acknowledging that there is a problem. BMW Motorrad, from years of dealing with them, assumes that any mechanical failures are rider error, since there's no way that German engineering could ever fail.

Besides, have we determined the crickets are anything other than mildly irritating? The cam problem is a true problem and can lead to issues, but has there been any proof that the crickets are anything more than us complaining about noisy engines?

Well Jeff and I actually hung out last night and Big Two recieved a Auto FRS that right off the truck the Cam had to be replaced so i guess its the luck of the draw..... If you havent had CEL/IDLE issues then you are fine but the crickets have been resolved by replacing HPFP..... The ECU I believe goes to CEL/IDLE issues which i told Big Two it wasnt a really big concern for me cause i never had issues with my idle or a CEL issue...

I was getting rather upset that they are releasing a TSB instead of a recall making us prove it's messed up I saw my old charger in the used lot with it's new transmission and for a second I had a little buyers remorse. I'm sure once they swat all these bugs it's going to be a great car it's just frustrating to have to keep going back to have it worked on when it should have came off the line correct when they start showing it off in 2009 they had 3 years to catch these problems.
