I have yet to wear a mask...but will if it is required by der gubermint.
I do wash my hands more frequently, I do not touch my face or eyes, I do wipe down the hard surfaces at work frequently, I do not shake hands and limit my touching of things I did not clean myself, I avoid sickly people.
I do notice that traffic is lighter but slowly increasing.
I have noticed that the average speed, and the risks taken when driving has increased dramatically...way past the point of being safe. When things reopen I expect traffic accidents and deaths to spike.
I have noticed that the average person falls into one of 4 categories:
1. People who don't give a shit about a damn virus, its a damn hoax or I'm dying anyway.
2. People who take common sense measures to prevent contracting or spreading a virus.
3. People who are concerned about a virus but still venture out only when absolutely necessary.
4. People who are scared beyond sense and reason about a virus and refuse to step outside until the apocalypse has passed and criticize any attempt at returning to normalcy.
I'm a number 2

I wonder to myself why many forms of social media; YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. are removing any content of dissenting opinions on the virus regardless of the credentials of the person giving those opinions.
I question how walking, running or swimming on a beach is OK but sitting, sunbathing or stopping while on the beach...even at an acceptable social distance...is not.
i'm a 2.375

the 0.375 has everything to do with #4's. i don't like dealing with the average public on a normal day, but seeing all these people improperly wearing masks or gloves, or running around grocery stores in a doomsday panic. even the way some people are driving is just absolutely nuts compared to normal.

so i'm avoiding going anywhere because it gives me severe anxiety just seeing people 'being safe' while i could literally make a checklist of how they're not.

the most recent grocery store trip, i watched 4 old people wear masks that they didn't pinch the top metal piece around their nose. YOU HAVE TO FORM THAT METAL PIECE TO YOUR FACE TO MAKE THE MASK WORK.

Well now, if the old people pinched that metal piece around their nose, then they couldn't breathe through their nose because the air passage ways would be cut off. If that happened they would be forced to become mouth breathers and after a few minutes of breathing their own foul breath, they would start drooling and soak the mask, then they would pass out and fall to the floor, most likely within 6' of another person. So, now are YOU going to give that old person mouth to mouth resuscitation?

I thought not.

Now you know why we don't - us old people ain't tupid!

To be fair, city people will travel to a beach to sunbathe and then you have a crowd of city people infecting a beach. If I look at this objectively, they are indeed closing things that don't need to be closed just to make it miserable everywhere, so the miserable city folk don't find someplace else to spread their misery.

Still stupid though.

Well, that's only for protecting yourself with a respirator. The masks to avoid spreading it just have to stop you from spewing out stuff when you shout so people on the other side of the mask can hear you.

Ya, then I talk louder and my eye glasses fog up (oh, I wonder if my fog can carry the virus) then I get closer to the person I'm talking to because I can't hear/understand what they are trying to say -

I can tell you what activity I won't be doing, driving through Georgia. Apparently you can get a driver's license without any road test now...

Did their driving test ever amount to much?
